I think we need an award to recognize talent of the highest order.
The nominees so far:
Igor Tudor -- Croatia -- own goal against France, bad back pass give France their second goal, in injury time, almost has another own goal (in one game a varitable Agoos tour de force!)
Mikael Silvestre -- France -- concedes two penalties in two games.
Francesco Totti -- Italy -- bonehead action leads to suspension.

It's gotta goto Totti, who's more concerned with how his hair looks.
How can the captain lose his head like that. This is why Baggio should be on the team instead of Totti!

Tudor has had nothing but bad luck.

Tudor at least got a goal.
My vote is for the usually respectable John Terry. He earns it alone for his awful failure to even set up an offside trap. And his play had been pretty dreadful otherwise.

Huh? I agree he was responsible for Postiga's goal, but how can you blame him for either Rui Costa's or the two Croatian goals, from players he was not marking?
Terry and Campbell managed to hold waves and waves of Portugal attacks. That hardly makes him Agoos.

How about The Big English Summer Giveaway, by Steven Gerrard testing Henry's speed, and Ashley Cole's perfect pass to Kovacs in the Croatia game?

Yeah, Gerrard's backpass was terrible. But otherwise he has done all right I believe.

David Beckham--
He played terribly in every single game. He missed two important penalties. He couldn't captain anything.

Beckham`s performance for me as well, that "whatever PK" in game vs Portugal just sealed it. :o

Admitidly the only England game I saw during the tournament was France v. England. in which Beckham didn't impress me. Plus he missed two very important penalties.

Normally that ball is an okay ball to play. It just happened that Henry was there and made a run to pick it off.

The Bulgarian defense. They mis-time their step-ups worse than Agoos against Honduras. Silly too, as these guys were a pretty speedy bunch (Bulgarian defense), but just chose to play the trap, getting punished for it all day long.
