First they condense their BL highlight show to a ridiculous half an hour. Now they leave the HSV-FCB game in the middle of the 2nd half!? When can the BL get a network here in the States that gives it the respect it deserves??

GolTV is a complete disgrace.

I cant believe that did that either. Two big teams who are 2nd and 3rd in the Bundesliga are playing and they switch to Barca and some sh#t team. I really wish there was some sort of Bundesliga package I could buy and drop Gol TV. They are a poorly run company and I hope they fail.

If I was a customer and they did this on a regular basis, I would call them and explain the reasoning on why I am no longer giving the money they crave so much every month. I would also explain that until they give proper Bundesliga matches, they will never touch any of my money and many other fans of Bundesliga that watch the league worldwide.

Guys....as much as it sucks, our small voice for the bundesliga IS NOT going to be heard. It is a Spanish speaking network driven by Spanish speaking consumers....NOT consumers who prefer German football. There are a FEW of us that are completely pissed that they pulled the plug on our game today. However, there are MILLIONS more that are ecstatic that they got to see Barca start on time and not have to wait for the tedious German game to finish up.

Hell....even on the English broadcasts, the commercials are in Spanish. It's very clear who their target market is, and who they feel pay their bills. The advertisers pay their bills, and the advertisers on Gol TV are targeting a Spanish speaking market. Who would that Spanish speaking market prefer to see? Bayern or Barca? The answer is clear....no matter how much it pisses us off. It's OK to be pissed off, but it's not going to do any good. If all 15 of us who have Gol TV and are pissed at today's situation were to all cancel their subscriptions, they wouldn't even notice.....:(

sheally pretty much summed it up. With the huge hype surrounding La Liga this year there is no chance we will get our way.

I doubt the Bundesliga execs know about this. I think we should let them know.

I am ALL for this!

That was ridiculous not showing the Bayern game full-time after the Petric goal (actually just prior to it!).

Barcelona-Malaga... wow... barn-burner!

As Ray Hudson said, "HSV-Bayern is possibly one of the best games on tab for today in Europe, perhaps even worldwide!".

So show it then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again guys....the reasons for the switch to me are obvious and not an unreasonable decision for the guys in charge to have made. Now....that being said....does it sit well with us Bayern fans? Heck no! But, we're such a small percentage in the grand scheme of GolTV and their ratings and advertisers and target market.

It's unfortunate, and it sucks, but it's true...

wasn't the Bayern match delayed? if so, they could have started the viewing time up one half hour. I knew something was up when I saw it only scheduled for 1.5 hours.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad to get about 3 or 4 matches per weekend on Gol tv and 2 more on ESPN Deportes but cutting off a match as if it doesn't matter was shocking.

No the Bayern match was live. This season the Bundesliga has a "match of the day" that is played in the evening.

Perhaps this is the answer to some of our problems.

I noticed that GOLTV was showing the same Bayern match later in the evening as well. Perhaps if I had recorded the later showing, it would have been the ENTIRE match, as the 'live' match conflicted with the 'live' Barcelona match.

Can anyone confirm? GolTV replayed it Saturday in the early AM, then Sunday around 10pm and again Monday around Noon.

Did anyone see those rebroadcasts? Were they the full match?

I didn't watch the rebroadcast, but I DID notice the later listing...and it was for only the 1.5 hour slot, just as in the morning. So, even if you watched the later showing, it still got cut off--at least I assume it did based on the time slot being the same as the morning time slot.

Great deductive reasoning, Dr. Holmes.

So basically we still don't know if the rebroadcast showed the whole match, right?

I'm no brain scientist or rocket surgeon, but logic would tell me that if they showed a partial match in a time frame of 1.5 hours in the AM, and they showed the same match in the same 1.5 hour timeframe in the PM, that considering that we're talking about GolTV here and not a real TV network, we can accurately deduct that they still didn't show the entire match in the second showing. Remember, it's GolTV....they broadcast out of a broom closet. Logic would also tell us that they don't have anyone there smart enough to continue recording the entire match during the AM showing and then either a) edit it in order to show the entire abbreviated match later, or b) start the match "already in progress" in order to show the final 75 minutes of the match rather than the first 75 minutes of the match as they did earlier.

But, to answer your question specifically Sherlock....No, we basically still don't know if the rebroadcast showed the entire match...
:D

And Dr Holmes is correct.......as in Dr John Holmes!;)
