If France loses by 1 goal and England and Croatia don't draw, Switzerland will advance on head to head and France is out.
Not sure what happens if England France and Switzerland all have 4 points.

Actually, Switzerlands situation is a bit more complicated and a little less dire. They just need a win and no tie in the England-Croatia game. Match play comes before goal differential, so If Switzerland beats France the possible outcomes are:
England Wins: Switzerland qualifies.
England 6
Switzerland 4 (above france because they beat them)
France 4
Croatia 2
England and Croatia tie: It circular matchplay (ENG>SUI>FRA>ENG) so in this situation it comes to goal diff. Switzerland must win by 4 to qualify.
England 4
France 4
Switzerland 4
Croatia 3

France 4

Not quite true. Switzerland will only need to win by 3 in this scenerio. France would then have a g/d of -2 while Switzerland would be 0. I don't think there is any way Switzerland can advance with a 2 goal win in the specific scenario stated above.

My mistake, too pissed to subtract goals difference.

Oh noonan is right. Before goal differential but after match play is total goals scored in the games among the tieing teams. England has 4, and france and switzerland have 2 and 0 coming in, so switzerland would have to win by 3 to garuntee a spot. Any win would still qualify if the eng-cro game is not a tie.
