the game is live on Gol TV @ 9.25 am (EST)
Starting 11: Lenz (12) - Riether (20), Madlung (17), Barzagli (43), M. Schäfer (4) - Josué (7) - Hasebe (13), Gentner (25) - Misimovic (10) - Grafite (23), Dzeko (9)
I cannot wait for this derby game, I think this game should be ours for the taking. We have got to improve on our home record early on if we are to keep up with the pack. Hannover have struggled to score this season and really haven't found form, despite that sit only 4 positions behind us. I am sure they want to bounce back after our 5-0 demolition of them last season.
Currently we have a 8-3-3 record against them in the Bundesliga but our home form against them hasn't been to great. I expect the usual highly offensive VfL tommorrow hoping to cripple the Hannover defense, this should be a good affair enjoy!

Just finished watching the game and it was exactly what I expected. A good 4-2 win that will set us up nicely for the mid week CL match with Man U. Overall a good performance offensively, Misimovic with the beautiful free kick, Dzeko and Hasebe had nice goals and Gentner got off the mark. Defensively we could have been better and will need to be more solid against Man U if we are to take a point from them. But I am delighted with the victory and am looking forward to Wednesdays game

It will be an interesting test against Man U. If we lost 3-0 in Munich, what exactly can we expect at Old Trafford? Sadly I'm thinking a similar scoreline.

Game is live on Rogers Sportsnet @ 12.30pm (don't know about the states)
Mannschaft - Benaglio - Riether, Madlung, Barzagli, M. Schäfer - Josué - Hasebe, Gentner - Misimovic - Grafite, Dzeko
Well it is finally upon us, our maiden trip to England and our first game against Man U. This game is really gonna be a challenge for us and perhaps one of the biggest games we have ever played, we are going to see what we are worth. Benaglio wiil be back in goal but the lineup should remain unchanged from the weekends match. A win would be euphoria but I think playing for a draw is something we can hope for, if we can take a point from Old Trafford it will be huge and one step closer from moving on in the CL. I just hope we bring our A game and not get embarrassed, this is a great chance to showcase our club on a world scale and make a name for ourselves, C'mon VfL cannot wait:D

The back is hopeless, so all hopes are on the Bosnian's and on Josue.
Very funny scene, Dzeko and Misimovic after the win ....the Schalke game, both are being interviewed, stand close to each other:
Reporter to Dzeko,
'Are you two friends ?'
Dzeko: No. :D
'...right now someone is scratching you behind your ear !'
Dzeko very dry: 'I know, he (Misimovic) does this very often!'
:D

Still my favorite player to ever play for the club.

A decent performance and the quality was apparent, but had they shown more hunger to win I'm sure they would have nicked something out of the game, because United was a bit lacklustre. Still, United were the better team and they fully deserved the result. MOTM was either Giggs or Berbatov, while for Wolfsburg it has to be Misimovic or Benaglio.
It was an interesting game, very nice to see VfL imposing themselves in the first 15 minutes, but when ManU stepped up the gear, the players went rather nervous with too many stray passes and soon they got bossed by the United midfield and cannot get the ball upfront, and it was a shame because whenever Wolfsburg start building passes in the ManU half they look dangerous, and Dzeko's goal was a successful example of it.
I still think Veh needs to do a better job motivating the team and installing the players a sense of hunger, I was expecting them to show some more urgency in attack after they conceded the 2-1.

Well it was a good game United is very well kept at the back, Grafite was non existent out there. But overall we VfL fans can be proud of our team we went out there at Old Trafford and showed no fear and tried to play our style of football. Man U got that lucky Giggs goal which seemed to be the difference and we could never really recovered from that. Still it was great experience and we can hold our heads high, we should be able to advance from this group and into the 32 bring on Besiktas

I did think Man U. respected VfL Wolfsburg before and after that match.

I think you covered everything I wanted to comment on. I just wish Wolfsburg didn't sit back and played scared after going up 1-0. I really believe this was our chance to get a point at Old Trafford.

What can I say about this match we come into Bochum with the same side that gave Man U a run for their money. I expect us to continue on current form which seems to be getting better every week. We should take the full 3 points from Bochum who are coming off a win, but I don't see them giving us too much trouble if any at all... Die Woelfe to dominate!
