He's quoted today as saying:" We're getting above ourselves, thinking we're better than we are at the moment. We're in a position where we have to get results."
After every game, GZ talks about how pleased he is with the team, but not the results; they try hard, but nothing much is happening. I doubt we can expect much on Monday against Man.City, but after that we play Fulham and Stoke, before Arsenal and then Sunderland. I would hope we can get more than a few points from these games. The team needs some breathing room, and some confidence in a hurry.

I cant say I'm happy with our start to the season; losing to Liverpool, Wigan etc. But todays scores make me feel a lot better
'Pool 6 Hull1
Wigan 3 Chelsea 1.
As for us, I dont think we've got a hope on Monday
Which of course means we'll thrash 'em 4-0

It's dissapointing when we lose, but we are a good team. We have some great players, and it's a young squad. Zola has done great with the team, considering the money problems at the club. All West Ham need now is a buyer. Which should happen soon because this a brilliant club. Not the most successful but a famous one.
We have had a difficult start to the season. Our two homes games, before Fulham, were Tottenham and Liverpool. So we were always going to struggle. Hopefully now we can get some points after a positive result against Fulham. We have Stoke away next which will be hard and then Arsenal is coming up.

the key word is buyer. we have a great core, great youth and a great manager. if all those stay in place and someone swoops in and saves our asses, we'll be moving up. if not, if we're continually in straits and zola gets fed up and leaves...well, look at newcastle.

Exactly. Well said. Newcastle though had money but the owner tried to sell, but know one wanted them. Their players just got distracted and played poorly.
