Millions os portuguese wanting to go to the game and there's a blank space in the russians side..
Could this mean that the russian federation prefered to have a blank space than to have more portuguese supporters?
It's a shame.. The game is sold out so the russian federations payed for the tickets insted of giving back the ticktes.. It's a shame.........

Russians like space, we are not used to millions of people sitting in a tiny little space. Thats why you saw many empty seats.

Now, speaking about tickets. "Millions os portuguese wanting to go to the game and there's a blank space in the russians side.." - somebody remind me the total population of this little country.

They will surely beat the Greeks but not satisfy your silly emotional condition but they will play for experience. Yes, Russia has a very young team, unlike Portugese, for example. But if they get a few more red cards they might actually...let millions of Portugese stay home. Let me twist your question around a little bit. Who will fill those empty seats or maybe they won't care who is playing?

cheers

We are 10 million my friend. 10 million of proud people to have a small but beatiful country.

Let me say one thing... Russia was a most unpolished delegation that come to Portugal to the EURO2004. The red cards must have been shown to its managers first.
An event like this donīt need strange behaviors as yours.
You have right... we donīt care who is playing. We love Football thatīs all!

I agree with Antonio..
I mean Portugal is such an amazing country and the fact that Euro 2004 is held in Portugal and being played in all of the different fields is such an honor for us Portuguese.
On the other hand, Russia has no chance. They've proven that they will not advance and they are no match for Greece especially because they've been playing so well against the other teams.
SO.... "na na na na.. hey hey hey goodbye"... hahaha <---- if you know that song or not... you can still re-read the last word... G O O D B Y E!

Portugeza, please, this could very well be the song the your Iberian neighbors be playin for your "Golden Generation" who now look to me like the "Silver Generation", i.e. 2nd best.

Russia was indeed poor. Their coach sucks, but at least he is from the same country as Russia. You could not find a Portugese coach in all of your 10 Million people?

Portugal has superb individual players, however, the do not play as a team. Scolari was not able at this time to mold your stars into a team setting. This I belive will be sending the host home or should I say to bed as you are already home by the Spaniards.

Russia have not gone beyond the group stage in any of the previous major finals for which they qualified -USA 94, Euro 96, and world Cup 2002- since becoming a seperate entity following the break-up of the Soviet Union.

Still, they have all the rights to experince this touornament for their team which mixed of the young not bad talented players and some others wih good experince like Mostovoi, Loskov and team captain Onopoko.
( I don't know why I stated this point, I just did it )

Portgual have just a good team that no way to compare them to the Russians.
Lets leave pointless discussions about how big is the country! And concnterate on the games today which would make some of you here go so happy till he gets crazy or it might fo in the other way.

Well, time flies. Who else is in the group with Russia? Oh wait, it looks like the whole of the Baltic states are in this group. From the looks of it this is a tough group, Port, Vodka, Latvia, Slovakia, Estonia, and the two L's (Lichtenstein and Luxembourg).

Antonio, I do hope Portugal can finish 2nd to be in the playoffs! ;-0
