Cleveland is clearly out of the picture. Shouldn't we just merge those threads with the rest of the message board?

Can SLC and Seattle get their own now that they're the finalists?

I think it should be kept around as a tribute to MLS's well-planned, well-thought out, methodical approach to expansion.

It's not our final decision, but we'll see what can be done.

Can we have a thread dedicated to kids who dress up like Drew Carry for Halloween? I want my kid to do that, when I have one.

I know. That photo made me wonder if MImi may have been cute as a girl.

Funny seing panties all bunched up.

I don't care, but since you guys took all the trouble of grouping the Cleveland, OKC, Chivas, and Rochester threads, what about hiding the forum like others on BS (so it is not listed up top)? That way your work is not for nothing when/if they get back into the fray, and you could just reactivate/unhide them at that time.

FTR - I do think SLC, Philly, Houston, San Antonio, & Seattle could all have forums like that. You could always list the subforums at the bottom also instead of hiding them.

Just to let everyone who cares know: if the admins decide to act on this, I hope to be able to let everyone know before it happens.

It's really not a big deal, but we aim to please...

Cleveland's got one last shot. Picked up my Mega Millions ticket on the way in to work. Think it's over 100 mil now. Just six little numbers shy of bringing the old side back. :o

If you have some inside information about how Cleveland is "clearly out of the picture" then will you please share it?

Bart Wolstein paid a fee to MLS on behalf of a group which still exists. His heirs and associates are in the process of reevaluating ALL his billions or dollars worth of investments and are working on a framework for going forward on a number of fronts.

Whetehr this will or will not include MLS is not, to my knowledge, an issue that has been decided. Wolstein's goal, and his son was very much involved in it, was the development of a sports/retail/office complex on a for-profit basis.

It is entirely possible that his son and heirs may decide to go forward if they consider it feasable.

In the meantime, why are you in a hurry to have this forum taken down? Why don't you just wait and see whether something happens? In the meantime it isn't hurting anybody sitting here.

If Seattle is announced as an expansion city for 2005, then I think the Cleveland forum should go.

That's just my opinion.

You mean along with the other two cities that have no hope of expansion in the next year, of course. I think the Cleveland forum is as viable as the OKC forum.

well as a mod here i will give my opinion-

until MLS comes out with a statement saying its taken back the 'letter of intent' cleveland has, theres no reason the subforum should close.

that being said, does it really bother anyone with it currently staying open (if anyone says 'yes', it shouldn't).
