Medial ligament damage. Out for 4-5weeks. This is bad news for us. He could have put himself in the shop window with one or two good performances but now he wont get the chance. It's probably lost us 2million pounds extra we could have gotten for him. He'll be worth around 4-5million now.

Well, nicky was never going to be Scholes backup so hopefully NIcky's absence is a minimal loss for England. I hate it for Nicky too - he's such a good player...
