Er, how do you work that out. He hasn't left yet, plus if he does, he's made Arsenal the team they are today. In fact without him, you probably wouldn't be supporting Arsenal.......

So why turn against one of the greatest players we have ever had? We would never of won as much as we have done without him. He has been imense and has given us 8 years. Thats more than most players these days. If he wants to play for Madrid then fair enough. As long as he doesn't play for Man U or Chelsea then Im happy he gave so much to us before he moved on. If your angry because he hasn't said anything, then understand that if he said he wanted to leave, then his transfer fee would drop by about 5 million Euro's. He is doing Arsenal a favour by keeping quiet, not Madrid.

Patrick Viera? He is a great player, however that imposter Veria is a real loser who everyone should join in despising.

Try saying Alan Smith, Eric Cantona and Rio Ferdinand are 3 of the best players Leeds have ever had to Leeds fans!

That is a pathetic attempt to get out of saying what you did. Leeds have won only one league title with Cantana and then nothing with the oher two. Only Smith was at Elland Road for a decent amount of time and he left when they got relegated. Plus all three have gone to their most hated (geographically) rivals. Vieira hasn't done this. Madrid are not our rivals whatsoever. We have only played them once since he has been here and that was part of the Anelka deal in Lee Dixon's testimonial. Vieira has been a fantastic servent for the club, he has given us his all and if he wants to move on and play for a club because he feels he has a better chance of winning the Champions League with them, then Ive no problem. He's ambitious and has won every other major trophy, so thanks Pat and good luck. The situation can not be compared with the transfers you have listed.

id have thought very much the opposite, what gives him the right to disrupt the planning for the season? hes the skipper, the skipper being the fulcrum of the team, keeping shtum is treating the fans and his team mates with contempt. if he does leave in 2 years, i reckon hed be the next one in the papers regretting leaving, but if he turns round and says "actually i want to stay" flog him anyway, NO ONE is bigger than arsenal fc.
hate him,, NO WAY but this fiasco has lowered mine and other peoples estimations of him, thats for sure.

It is the media and Madrid who have disrupted us, not o mention that Wenger is used to it by now. Look, the way transfers work, if Vieira said he wanted to go we would not get nearly as much as we would if he stayed quiet. Therefore financially we will be better off. And that is what matters at the end of the day.
Why have your estimations been lowered? What has he actually done? He hasn't said anything, has still been to training, has NOT cleared out his locker etc etc. Don't believe the tabloids, much of what has been written is pure rubbish.

I have to agree with Rick on this-he has personal ambitions so fine go to Real. If he thinks he has a better chance of getting a Champions League trophy there then so be it. Is he leaving a hole in the team? Yes. Some say his presence in the midfield is irreplacable. Is it crappy that this transfer bull has gone on for so long? Yes. Is it crappy that we don't hear from him whether he wants to stay or go-is debatable for the reasons Rick mentions. Would I like to know from Vieira what is going to happen? No doubt.
I also have no doubts that Arsene has something cooking in the area of replacements for him if he does go. And I don't think it is better said than from the Coach's mouth:
"I think any one who leaves Arsenal is making a mistake"
If he goes he will be missed and if he stays it will have been status quo from previous years.
