Might seem that this does not belong here but in FFA, but I would like to know where the people that come and post here are from.

As for myself, I was born in Ecuador, but I'm currently living in Chile (both my parents are from here).
But I'm from Ecuador, I learned about soccer there and went to the stadium quite often there.

I'm from La Paz Bolivia, live in the States in Virginia right outside of Washington, DC. I came over when i was just a kid. One of my first recollections of futbol was my dad taking me to a Super Classico in La Paz between The Strongest and Bolivar.
We went to The Strongest Barra where he introduced me to "Chupa" Rivero, the capo of the Barra. I was only seven years old at the time and "Chupa" asked me if I thought I was strong enough to wave the flag. I said "yes sir", and I've been hooked ever since. Next year I'm flying home just to see the Classico again! :)

Hartlepool, North-East England.

Seaside town, used to have a big harbour trade-thing going on, and was the first place in England to be attacked in WW2.

Anyone know the story of Hartlepool and the Monkey?

In former times, when war and strife

The French invasion threaten'd life

An' all was armed to the knife

The Fisherman hung the monkey O !

The Fishermen with courage high,

Siezed on the monkey for a French spy;

"Hang him !" says one; "he's to die"

They did and they hung the monkey Oh!

They tried every means to make him speak

And tortured the monkey till loud he did speak;

Says yen "thats french" says another "its Greek"

For the fishermen had got druncky oh!

Also didn't the team mascot H'Angus the Monkey get elected mayor.

HA! thats class! well done

My good friend Stuart Drummond did indeed get elected major, his previous job did involve a monkey suit. Hes a very good major also.
A while ago, I stained his mums coffee table with Absolut Vodka (an accident) and she went psycho.

That is cool that you are in tight with the mayor. Really cannot blame his mum for getting pissed though.
