Starting a thread for this game.
Surinam has just scored in the 15th minute.
The field is in horrible condition. Waterlogged and lumpy.
Can anyone post the line-ups for the two teams?

Keep the updates coming. Fifaworldcup.com isn't doing updates for whatever reason and I just had my channels changed and for some reason am not getting telemundo anymore. Have to get that fixed. Plus I'm listening to Spain-Russia on the radio lol.

Tree,
Or are you watching this in the States now? I can't imagine they're showing it in Italy.

Is this CONCACAF or South American because I though Guatenal was Central American and Surinam is in South America.

Geographically, Surinam is in South America. But they compete in CONCACAF.

Any change from 1-1? fifa.com isn't reporting anything, and I tried the webstream link but got a server error message.
I was just able to reconnect to webstream and it's still 1-1...Surinam almost scored a second ago though.

Wow, I guess 1-1 isn't a huge surprise, especially considering what you guys have been saying about the field condition. But it's certainly going to still be interesting going to the second leg.

Guatemala will win easily at home. Check out what happened last go around vs Antigua. Close first game but easy second.

Big result for Surinam, albeit at home.
I agree with The Creeper...Guatemala should win the return leg easily. Why is Guatemala playing their home match in Guatemala City this time? Seemed like Mazatenango and Quetzaltenango were very tough for visitors.
Still a nice result for Surinam.

I watched the first half, and Guatemala were very impressive. Very composed and didn't panic when Suriname scored against the run of play. Suriname looked like they were content to absorb pressure from Guatemala, but I thought they would try to attack more. Regardless, I can't see Suriname keeping it so close in Guatemala City.
