So we're in pretty bad shape in the Premiership so far, and going into the European Group Stage with our team like they are now doesn't fill you with a lot of optimism. Especially since, we don't actually have a Right Back thanks to Neville getting injured against Fulham, Hibbert still suspended from the Sigma Away leg. I also think Heitinga hasn't been registered yet, can't really remember. So God knows what we'll do there, maybe Gosling can have a bash.

I think that line up is pretty much spot on, looking forward to seeing Billy in action, I've only had youtube footage to try and assess his ability so far!

It could be a good chance to turn our season around, two years ago our run in Europe helped us sustain our league form.

With City almost certainly making it a big five this season I think we should go for it in the Europa League this season, even if it means slipping down the league.

this football blog predicts another tough night for Everton (http://betting.betfair.com/football/uefa-cup/europa-league-betting-tough-night-ahead-for-english-duo-170909.html).

It says AEK have won both their league games so far, If they come and defend for the point I can't see us having the creativity to break them down without Arteta...unless Billy is the magician we have been waiting for!

I hope we go with a 4-4-2, rather than a 4-4-1-1. Jo was far too cut off against Fulham and created next to nothing. Yakubu should start in place of Fellaini, who has been none too impressive in any game so far this year. I don't fear AEK Athens why should we. Them winning their first two games means nothing to me. Matt Derbyshire has gone to the Greek league and set the world alight. Outside Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and AEK there are no threats.

2-0!

From another Bilyaletdinov corner, the other center back Distin prods in.

I saw the lineups when I class and what a pleasent surprise it was to get home and it's already 2-0.

Damn, I read a few articles that said we could struggle today and get a surprise challenge. Looks like we are taking care of business. Hopefully, this will instill some confidence in this team.

HT 3-0. From what I saw we're looking really good out there. Winning the ball nicely and really nice ball movement. I'm liking Billy on the left and Peanut on the right.

It's also half time in the other game in this group, Benfica leading BATE 1-0 in Portugal.

On that note. Looking at some surprise upsets Celtic lose 2-1 to Tel-Aviv and Rome lose 2-0 to FC Basel. Hopefully some those 2 good teams will be knocked out during the group stage.

I suspect those teams wil qualify due to strong home results.

Cahill has been subbed off for Osman.

Yakubu is on for Bilyaletdinov.

Araujo red carded for clashing with Distin.
