Classic Loney. I think the dental floss line has broad applications, and it's nice to see a Rutles reference that doesn't disrupt a sound -- and funny -- analysis of the Chivas situation.

"You know, at first I started to panic when my visa was stolen, but then I took a deep breath and figured out that I needed to remain calm and find out how to get a new one,'' said Joseph. "And getting another visa actually turned out to be easier then I thought. My experiences in life have taught me that if there is a strong will, there is a way to conquer anything and take control of things."

This article seems to get trotted out at least once a year in the Boston papers. He can be confident or hopeful all he wants, he still sucks.

Dear Coach Nicol:

I'd like to acquaint you with a MLS rule you might not be aware of.

Developmental Players (domestic or international): Each team will have six Developmental Players on its roster. The contracts for these players will not count against a team's salary budget. In addition to Nike Project-40 signees, a team's roster-protected players can only include those 23 years of age or younger during the season in question.

Now I assume you know about this because you have one P-40 player and two developmental players, one of which you have shipped out on loan to the New Hampshire Phantoms (GK Kyle Singer).

Granted, you won't get a world-beater for $850 a month, but before you open your haggas-hole about not having enough players, why don't you use the means available to you to get players? After all, everyother team in the league has more roster-protected players than you.

Sincerely,

Me

Weird that around draft time people were complaining that the Revs hand't gone after a central defender or any P-40 guys...

Totally agree with your point, but NE has 3 DEV's Singer, Dorman, Vercollone with Dempsey as p40. I believe all other teams have 5-6 total.
