Ok folks, here we go.

Is this the season where we redeem ourselves in Europe? Are we finally going back to the epic Madrid/Bayern rivalry?

I don't take this game for granted by the way, any away match in the CL can be tricky and this one is no different.

I would expect a similar line up to today except with Pranjic playing instead of Braafheid and Ribery starting instead of Olic. LvG might also give Mueller a start but I feel he wants to give Altintop some confidence so he'll start him again.

Altintop should be benched he completely sucked in several games in a row and we have more than enough players around to give him the earned break

I agree, I would much rather play Mueller in front of Schweinsteiger and Tymo. We can certainly afford it in this match.

Bayern, Bordeaux, Juventus are all HOT right now. When the draw came out everyone thought this was a fairly tough group, but now it is the closest to a group of death as the CL has this year. One of these 3 very good teams is not making the knock outs. We really need all 6 from Maccabi. Huge game. Line-up should be same as starting today with following adjustments:

Pranjic for Braafheid
Ribery for Olic
Mueller for Altintop

So excited for the beginning of this seasons's CL!:D We have a great opportunity to get our CL campaign off on the right foot here with Maccabi. As long as we don't underestimate them and play hard we should be able to walk away with 3 points on Tues.

Pranjic for Braafheid
Ribery for Olic
Mueller for Altintop

Muller deserves the start over Altintop. As for the second sub, I think Ribery can come on for either Gomez or Olic.

jump on them fast. these are the type of matches that get me nervous especially if you let the other club stay around for too long.

I'm pretty excited Bayern is coming to play in my country.:) Maccabi Haifa is not a weak opponent but it's certainly not a strong one either (in European standard). I expect us to win but not very easily. Maccabi has many supportive fans that won't stop cheering their beloved club.

Is Riverplatense Strahman playing ?

I am excited to see him since so many River fans arguing about the decision to let him go...

Based on what I read, I don't think he'll start but he might play as a sub. For the curious among you, you might want to keep an eye on Golasa. That kid (17 years of age) has a bright future.;)

Extremely tough group for Bayern and it means we need to get as many pts early as possible so we don't get involved in any "must win" scenarios later on
