From the above video, it kind of looks like he was aiming for RVP's hand rather than his face. I'm not sure. As i said, i can't understand it.

The way I see it, he initially came down from the air trying to balance himself with his right foot, but RVP's hand just happened to be there so Ade was thinking "what the heck, I hate the F$%K so I might as well step on his hand."
Not very smart at all. Now, he's already apologized for taunting the gunner fans after his goal, but this display might earn him a suspension.

He should be punished. There's no room for this kind of behavior in a sport called "The Beautiful Game." People like him stain the sport, and deserve to be suspended.
RVP's eye could have easily been taken out. It's sickening to see Man City fans support this behavior. I will be very happy when the real Manchester mops the floor with you guys. Never have I looked so forward to this derby.

What a joke, that video.
RVP didn't even see his face, he was clearly concentrated on the ball, and tried to minimize the impact by withdrawing his foot. He apologetically raised his hand immediately after the impact. I'm not saying RVP is an angel, but his waste has more class than Adebayor.

nice edit you numpty. If you add the second or so prior to that, there is no intention from van Persie to win the ball. None at all. The clear intention is to injury Adebayor, in a serious manner.

I'm glad Adebayor got revenge over the glory hunting pseudo-fans who actually boo their own players so ruthlessly and have no idea about true club loyalty. Now he's at a club not full of glory hunting fans (well, until we start winning things, then we'll suddenly have an Asian explosion) and they cheer him with incredible vigor. That goal must have been sweet, what a deserved win for us!
Also, Van Persie has classic Serie A syndrome, clutching his head when his poor little fingers got scraped.
CTID, top 6 aim but we may indeed push for top 4! None of us are expecting to win the league as the Sky 4-loving media hacks seem to be demanding we do to avoid "failure".

Who is supporting his behavior? Debating his intent is not the same as supporting his behavior.
