Big match! Our first real test of the season, I am hoping for 3 points and no less than a point from this match. Unfortunately, my wife has volunteered me to hang lanterns this early am for a wedding this afternoon we are attending for one of her friends so I may miss some or all of the match. That is, of course, unless I can think of some way to get out of it, maybe I'll suddenly start feeling ill?

Enough about me though, Tevez out, Robinho out, Walcott out, Arshavin out, Fabregas in, Rosicky in. Lineup predictions? We'll certainly see Ade up top, probably with Bellamy, Ireland and Barry will certainly make the starting XI, perhaps with SWP and De Jong? Willl Weiss get some time? Sad to be missing some or all of this :(

Richards with skill and luck.

It is good to be lucky. It is better to be good. It is best to be both.

Well, we're up and I am happy. Wish it could have been credited to Micah but it's still 1-0 for City. De Jong is playing a man-possessed. I really feel as though he should play every match.

We are definitely lacking the finishing in the final third, though. Especially that last Ireland-Bellamy run before half; we could have easily made it 2-0. And SWP looks to be tired from the England outing. He is just being a little more sluggish and clumsy with the ball.

Overall very good, though. Great defensive play.

De Jong is like Makelele out there very impressed with him, and also Bridge.

Arsenal have been playing Uncharacteristically sloppy, given the ball away with minimal possession

we had 55% of the ball in the first half
