What happens if we can't get things rolling again today?
Hal, you're controling a lot of people's drafts..... if you're off tomorrow things will start to look desperate :(
Whatever we don't get done today, as far as my participation as surrogate drafter, will have to be picked up by someone else. Volunteers?

Is every one going to stay around here today?
It's almost 6.30 in the evening in London, is Ingromius even going to be on?

Jeeze, I rushed back from one kids game (lost 1-0) and have an hour before the next and we still haven't moved. :(
I'm feeling in a RADICAL mood with all this waiting.
What if one of us or a group of us try to make the best picks for Jonathan and keep moving along?
Or, what say we apologize in advance, but we skip Jonathan until he comes back online and then can make as many consecutive picks until he is caught up.
It really seems unfair to keep making all the other managers wait due to his unaccessability.
This has gone beyond the time zone difference. Absent any back-up plan instructions, is it time to move on?

I'm abstaining from voting.... but a lot of us have gone to great lengths (you especially) to try and co-ordinate...... and if things don't get sorted today they stand even less chance tomorrow?
His e-mail inbox must be filled with reminders if he's subscribed to this thread.....
Maybe he can't log on?

We need to move on.
What is the deadline?
I will not be around much on Monday at all and limited time on Sunday.

Well, it's already 9pm here so even if we get things moving it could still mean being online until 3 or 4 in the morning.....
Thinking out loud, trying to divine the international ESP of Jonathan, and after studying his team and his pick order so far, it seems to me that Jonathan's next picks will be a forward and then a cheap starting defender.
Likely candidates for the striker pick:
Heskey 9.5
Vassell 9.0
Cole, Andy 9.0
Phillips 8.5
DiCanio 8.5
Smith 8.5
Sheringham 8.0
He's already picked up 2 Liverpool players so he may like Heskey. But since I'm not aware of his financial plan, from these players, I would go for Sheringham or Smith.
Any other opinions or other suggestions?
Likely candidates for the defender pick:
Fortune CHA 4.0
Cooper MID 4.0
Toure ARS 4.0
Gardener TOT 4.5
or one of the 3 4.5 M BLA defenders,
Short BLA 4.5
Neil BLA 4.5
Johansson BLA 4.5
Radabe LEE 4.5
From this group, I can see Jonathan taking Radabe and maybe Smith for his striker to reach his limit on LEE players.
Anyone else want to weigh in with an opinion? Challenge my logic?
I got one vote via PM to move on.
I have one vote to abstain posted.
I don't see that as a consensus for me taking the radical action I propose. So unless more managers are in agreement, we wait.

Really can't say as i may/may not have some of those players on my wish list and if i say pick another it could be construed as a way on ensuring i get the player i want.

I am back till 4pm PST (about 4 1/2 hours) so I will draft for myself now Hal..thanks.
Paul, you and I are full of strikers, so there is no conflict of interest on that call.
I posted the logic so it was public, in case anyone had other opinions that I may have overlooked due to my bias on the defender pick.
Basically, I just tried to think what I would do if I had Jonathan's team and the next two picks.

Another way to go forward might be to log into your own team...... enter his picks to date and let the computer fill in the rest.
We would then have a lot players out of our reach in one swoop......
Thoughts?
How does that computer filling in thing work? I can't believe the computer could possibly pick a better team than we would plus, the computer wouldn't be bound to skip the other players that have already been drafted.
