all of you in the AM.
I should be on around 8 or so myself...if the trouble and strife doesn't give me to much grief over it:)
Perhaps we can put this to bed tomorrow.

I'm putting all 3 of my strikers on the trade block. I want a top class defender who will get assists, and a pick in the 9th round.

Looks like we are done for the night, I will be back on at 8:30 am central, if that is too long to wait, Hal has my next pick from my earlier PM.

It's coming up to 9 am Central European Time.... our lads have already been kicking the ball around together and having a few laughs as Glenn Hoddle tries to show that he hasn't lost his touch.
Have to pop out for a couple of hours (to have a chat with the bankers) but should be back before the US contingent wake up.

::ugh::
up at 12:37am...must...get...sleep....
I'm going to try and be online at 6am PST/2pm GMT
I'll have to leave at 8am PST and will not be back till 1pm PST.
I will then be leaving at 5:15pm PST to go to my cousins wedding and won't be back till laaaaaaaaaate.
If we can get going in the morning and a few rounds in the afternoon (everyone should still be up in Europe then) I will give Hal 2 or 4 picks...

Good morning mates.
I shall be here for a few hours now.
Trouble and strife is still asleep (and i see no reason to change that ;))
I sense we got a lot accomplished yesterday despite all the time zone differences. Let's hope we can conclude this today.
It really helped to keep sending your next few picks to me via PM. I think I was able to clearly follow everyone's pick logic and you all got the players you requested.
Whenever you have to take a hiatus, or go on a walkabout, leave me with a proxy pick list and (full power of attorney to make any and all trades on your behalf --- just kidding on the latter).
Well, Mav tossed all his strikers in the ring before hitting the sack last night. I wonder how many legitimate offers he's received.
I think an agreement or two has been made in principle, pending the outcome of a medical, or in this case, research on the medical conditions of the players. I don't really expect that the players will stand for medicals by the staff of us fantasy soccer managers.

When we get to the stage where we start making transfers are we to use the CYKI forum or Big Soccer?

I think also that it has been rather easy to date to pick players as salary cap is/has been no problem.
That will all start to change right now.
Woe betide those who took expensive picks without thinking of their 13th, 14th and 15th pick.
I predict many players will be tossed into the ring before long.
Also i think the later three picks will take forever to conclude as people struggle with keeping under the 100 point cap and retain the players they have chosen to date.
The fun will really begin to start soon.

I believe we are waiting for Ingromius to pick (twice) then yourself.

That's what i thought, my picks in my head have changed after a good night's sleep, so it will be interesting to know what the next two picks might be, the last two rounds he has stolen them from me!! :D
What can we learn about ourselves by reflecting on the drafts midway through the process?
1. That Mark (kopiteinkc) and Brian (Captain Splarg) are Indian givers. "You take Bellamy and I'll take Solano...agreed...on second thought I don't want Bellamy...OK, I'll take him back..." While this was going on, Michael (Outback Maverick) was making his 2nd and 3rd round pick.
Lesson - be sure you have, in writing, when a trade is final when dealing with Mark or Brian.
2. Michel (1800-WorldCup) had a significantly different drafting strategy than the rest. Foregoing drafting strikers, he built up a formidable midfield and a good defense. He's assuming that keepers and strikers will still be available or can be traded for. This might just work and we can all acknowledge his genius.
3. That most of the managers, Michel being the exception, have laid off picking too many defenders early. Let the panic begin as the remaining managers chase the same cheap defenders, trying to get under the salary cap. Methinks, some might end up grabbing non-starting benchwarmers whose value isn't likely to rise.
4. It looks like most managers have avoided selecting injured players. It's a different story for those coming back from injuries or subject to recent knocks.
5. I wonder how many managers are trying to save cap space to be in a position to trade with the manager(s) who have made a planning error in their finances.
6. My biggest suprise, (besides some picks which I will not state publicly and put that manager up for ridicule), was that there wasn't a run on keepers once Dudek was taken. I guess with 8 fantasy teams and 20 starting keepers, a majority of the managers felt they could wait.
Enough musings, just thinking out loud waiting for Ingromius.

What that involves.
Cap S took Mills right before i was going to.
It completly bolloxed my whole team and cap allocation as i had to then shuffle things around in a sort of plan b attempt to right the ship so my later picks would fit in.
