God I hate International Breaks... why do we need em... oh that thing next summer. Is it me or are more then Half the injuries in soccer, picked up on International Duty? Perhaps when people are playing for teams coached by crackheads things get a bit messy. But i digress.
No Tevez.
But the gunners seem to have more then their share getting treatment.
What do you guys think we should do considering that we may be missing Robby as well. I'd say park the bus but what the hell do I know, I thought Wayne Rooney didn't dive.

Park the bus at home? Wow. I guess you all have lost all faith in Bellamy and SWP?

didnt this faux team spend 43 million quid on roque santa cruz and manu adebayor?
lol.. what a joke.
Hey Phishy, first off...
Why on earth would I acknowledge an idiot who's favorite band jumps on trampolines far more often then trying to write meaningful lyrics. But here I go...
Phishy, why don't you put your Mouth where your Acid is?
If city wins, you shut the f*ck up and never come to this forum again.
If Arsenal wins, I'll stop going to Arsenal forum and telling you guys how would've beat scum had.. we not straight ganked Ade and Toure off you.
Maybe you should stop being so concerned for city and start worrying more about your OwnGoal Finishing being the best in the League...
douchebag.

eh?
Park the Bus?
Never. We're not Stoke.
We will try and play football, Sweep on the right and Bellamy/Petrov on the left.

Honestly though, Arsenal likes the up tempo match, I feel if we play that kind of Open game, especially without Tevez and Robby... we may not have an advantage.
Their best player Arshavin runs out of gas by the 60th minute, The dutch boy when marked tight has a hard time getting off defenders, and Fabergas may not make the trip. I would invite Diaby, Song, Eboue on the atttack ALL DAY, with complete confidence in our backline (sans Bridge).
Remember a few years back, when Clichy fouled Sinclair in the box, Barton hits the pen, City parks the bus and we get three points off a Top Four.
I just don't think we should play their style, if they want to do the Beautiful Game, then fair enough, but with De Jong marking his countryman Van Pussie (I havent forgoten the time he kicked Kasper in the face) and Toure knowing way more about them, then they know about us, you get Barry back defensively, Ireland up a bit, Swp up further on a quick Counter Attack, and Ade and Bellamy up top.
I see us at the very least getting a point out of it... even with Bellamy playing striker.
Hughes don't fall to peer pressure, get the damn points!!
Park the Bus, play the counter, get your point.
Screw these Arsenal Morons... Playing the Beautiful game hasn't won them sh*t anyway.

Trolls, Trolls, Trolls...
Sorry to my regular forum go'ers here but I need to rant a little. It seems like I am constantly cleaning up these threads ever since we started getting media attention. My question is, what point is it to come on someone else's message boards and purposely trying to flame users into an argument? The end result is always the same, I give an infraction and delete your message. What point are you trying to make with rubbish comments that have nothing to do with the conversation at hand?
Please, stop trolling our board and go back to your teams boards where your moderators have to deal with you.
Anyhow, back on topic please, thanks.

I hope you all do invite the pressure on yourself. Your fans will get on your team's back, and truthfully, you will be helping us out. Our problem is not scoring. We're scoring goals for fun at the moment. I am sure we will score at the Stadium of Light. Adebayor isn't very good when he is isolated, and he isn't a prolific striker anyway. IMO, you will be setting yourself up for disaster. We've struggled when teams pressure us - not when they sit back and let us play.
Your opinion does beg the question though.... What's the point of spending so much money on players if you all want to play for a draw at home? Also, "playing the beautiful game" hasn't won us anything, but what has "playing the ugly game" won you all?

I don't know how you do it... people coming on here and taking potshots who have no clue.
Wayne:
Last time Arsenal came to town, City put them over its collective knee 3-0... Trust me, there will be no sitting back... City are at their best against open attacking teams. And why the hate for Ade... if he is so terrible then why are Arsenal supporters still talking about him?

Here are my concerns.
1. Tevez is injured
2. Robinho is thinking about a Barca move so his attention is divided, and I think he's also injured
3. We're under scrutiny for poaching players
I know I am usually pessimistic because I can't deal with disappointments, so I will say it's going to be a draw at best.
If you look at soccerway, the odds are heavily against us. Historically, Arsenal has owned us. We're at a dismal 34-35-80 all time record against Arsenal and mediocre at home with a record of 24-19-32. Last year's 3-0 may have been a one and off.
Please don't hate me for being negative. I really hope that I am wrong, dead wrong.

Trust me; I remember the last game away to Man City well. IMO, it was where we 'bottomed out'. We have no business losing to City - especially in that manner. It was a wake-up call for the team, and we didn't lose another league game until May (a 21 game streak that included a 2-0 win at home against City), so in a warped way, it probably was good for us.
Where did I show hate for Adebayor? I probably am one of about three people that regularly post on the Arsenal forum that wanted to keep him. However, you are in for a rude awakening if you think that he is a target player that can play alone. That's not his game, and I sincerely hope you try it this weekend.
This will be an interesting game. Both sets of players should be motivated given the summer activities. I just hope you all come to play and do not sit back, so you all can at least make a game of it. Park the bus at your own peril.

I am willing to bet that Sparky has Bellamy along side Ade.
First off, I think Bellzer is not the player he used to be, but if he's going to excel it will be up front as a 442 style forward.
Here's the line-up I'm expecting.
-Richards---Toure---Lescott----Bridge
--Swp------Ireland---Barry-----Robinho
-----------Ade-------Bellamy---------
I hope arsenal wheel out Rosisky... I would love to see him get a game and thought he was very talented prior to the injury.

Is Robinho fit? Also, supposedly Rosicky played today for a half, so there is a chance he'll come off the bench, although I don't expect to see him.
That's not a bad line-up you all have there, although that midfield looks light defensively (Kompany can't get a game??). This is going to be a great game to watch, I am looking forward to it.
