Not sure if anyone mentioned it in the above link, but if you can, get "The History of Soccer" DVD set. I got it for Christmas, and one of my favorite features is the one on Garrincha, they have interviews w/ former teammates, they talk about him being compared to Pele', and of course, it's loaded with amazing footage. There's a clip of him trapping the ball w/ the bottom of his foot, coming to a dead stop, and then feigning a run twice and coming back to the ball w/o touching it, the defender is completely mesmerized, following him the whole time, never realizing that the ball is still RIGHT THERE! Also, in the same chapter, there's a slow motion view with the clip of Pele' in the '70 WC (I think) where he ran on to a ball, wrong-wayed the Uruguayan keeper and went around him to get his shot off. I won't dispute those who say Garrincha is better, I think his talents on the field were second to none, but I don't think I've ever seen another player embarass a keeper w/o touching the ball, miss the shot, and it still be a famous play:)

So why try to compare, just thank God that He graced us w/ two such players capable of capturing our imaginations the way they did.
