Guess who's not getting a Christmas card from me this year.

Eh, he's an old fart. It's dumb as doodoo, but I can't get worked up over it. Speaking of the Cowboys though, I think Keyshawn's a good pickup for them. They had the speed guys like Glenn and Galloway, but they didn't have a possession receiver. As long as Meyshawn doesn't start asking for the damn ball, they should be decent.

Still, ******** the Cowboys.

Parcells won't be fined, and the world has not ended. Yet. (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylc=X3oDMTBpZ2NvMjltBF9TAzk1ODYxMDU5BHNlYwN0aA--?slug=ap-cowboys-parcells&prov=ap&type=lgns)

I think this is where someone comes in and says "If a white coach or a manager said what he said, he'd lose his job" and complains about the double standards.

Well, it's true. If he had made a similar comment about a historic event in black history, he'd have been fined 6 figures and run out of the league.

There realy is a double standard because if he said Colonial plays because they were agressive plays people wouldn't have got pissed. It is just unfortunate that you can't say anything like that anymore without people taking into the fact that that is what there plays are called for that specific scheme. Since they are suprise fast plays that name is appropriate, they can name the plays wehatever they want. It is also unfortunate that people take ofense to everything now. When people say cracker I don't care or call me a kraut I don't care. Everyone is too sensitive and always feels the need to fight for others when they think a certain group of people might be offended. A Japanese reporter said that he wasn't offended. For some reason people feel the need to defend minorities when they feel they might be offended. Those are the people that think it is ok for black people to make fun of whites but it is racist if a white guy makes a joke about blacks.

So maybe we should amend the old standby from "White coaches can't get away with racially insensitive comments" to "You can be insensitive to every cultural group except blacks".

In any case, I still think the racially insensitive comment/harshness of punishment ratio is based on the coach's place on the totem pole, which is to say, if lower profile coach or one who is on the hot seat is more likely to get fired than a well-established coach who makes the same comment. I actually think Parcells could get away with an equivalent comment about blacks, but a Jim Mora Jr. couldn't.

This is pretty much true though.

I also think this is also right on.......... but Parcells would catch so much more shyt if the comment was about blacks. Think about it. Let's take the scenario that happened the other day and instead of the "****** comment," he throws in a "************ rigging" comment and I think he would get fired. I just suppose of course.

maybe it just shows what is patently obvious: that is, that football coaches aren't a very bright bunch. parcells is not a smart man, overall. he is effective at coachinga football team. he is not curing cancer. i saw that fat bastard at the horse racing track at saratoga, ny a few years ago. he was with mike francessa, another fat ass.

Honestly, I'm more offended by the short shorts that fat football coaches like to wear. Never understood that. Roomy, breathable pants are your friends!

Bill Parcells is Mr. Teflon with his lapdog group of media flunkies like the aforementioned Francesa.
Any other coach would have been fined. White, black, or martian
