While many jokes could be made in reference to the WNBA "Give it Up" commercial, I believe that MLS should take a page from this spot.
This commercial is exciting and provides some name recognition for it's stars.
Adapted to MLS this ad would provide some much needed exposure for the leagues top stars: Adu, Twellman, Donovan, Ruiz, Ralph, Spenser, etc.
The "They say.." MLS ad this year us just an extension of the inferiority complex that the league suffers complains about (then turns around and lives up to at every juncture). A tired path. I enjoyed the MLS ad, but is it telling anyone anything it doesn't know or doesn't expect to hear? Of course having the ad running on Fox Sports World 30 times a day isn't really reaching out to new audiences.
