This message is being posted on the LARS forums as well as BigSoccer's Galaxy and Sounder's boards.
My name is Tommy Mack, I am one of the founders of the largest Galaxy fan/soccer drinking group in Los Angeles, and before the season I made a bet with one of the owners and the GM of the Seattle Sounders FC. The bet was simple... which team won first.
Had The G's won, the wager was quite substantial and for the benefit of the whole group. Unfortunately, after our second meeting, the Galaxy lost to the Sounders 2-0 and thus this is a part of my humiliation.

wow... I'm not in LARS, nor have I ever meet TM in person, but this is still painful to see. We'll get em next year!

it may well be a pyrrhic victory for them. at the time they were riding high and we were just hopeful to not have another disastrous year. but if they manage to NOT make the playoffs, while we do, then a little bet like this won't make them feel too much better.

My feelings exactly. I haven't interacted with this man in any sort of way other than by reading his posts on this board, but I feel his pain. :(

That person, GOING MOBILE, is a former Galaxy employee and now works for the Chivas FO. He and I are friends, so it does not surprise me that "Big Dan" would attempt to rib me so.
Unfortunately, I couldn't give a flying frak about it. My first post was to build up a sense of "drama", but at this point, it's so meaningless. I lost a bet, paid up, moved on.
And I plan on upping the ante next year because the payoff for LARS would TRULY have been worth it.
