Fantastic victory for us!
I still cannot believe it!
We played really well.
Király was in his best form, the defenders were really good at headers.
And we scored 2 magnificent goals!
Well deserved victory.

There will be those who will say it was a meaningless game, but many in Germany were talking about this in relation to the 50th anniversary of the WC final in Bern. So, symbolically this victory was significant.

Do Hungarian fans who saw the game see anything new with the team that would indicate that this anything but another false dawn?

We had so many disappointments in the last 20 years, that we afraid to trust in a better or brighter future.
I hope this was the begining of sthing new and better.

We had fighting spirit and bravery, which is unusual here since 1945.
This is definitely cause of political reasons (very interesting, I discussed about it many times), but I know this is a non-political topic, so I'm keeping quiet about it, though it is very unique!!!

This was a great result for Hungary. I called it in a previous thread!! I forgot exactly what I predicted, I think I said Hungary would win 3-1, I was close! Regardless, I do believe this is a defining moment and a positive step for Hungary to become a strong team in Europe. I have faith in Mattheus but indeed we have many ways to go before the best possible team for World Cup qualification is put together. That's the goal: Back to the World Cup... and staying there!
