Well, with France vs. Romania behind us, time to focus on the Serbia game...
Honestly, I see us with about a 40% chance of winning the game (30% Serbia win, 30% draw). We dominated Serbia at the SdF a year ago, and Serbia played a mediocre game vs. Austria at home for their last qualifier--fluke goal to give them the win when Austria had the best chances...
Now the crowd is going to be a big part of it--and even if we win, we'll still be a point back with two games to play... And of course, hello playoffs if we don't win...

I'm intrested to see how Serbia will play , apparently their coach says they're going to attack us from the start , hope that is true because that will suit us .
Setplays is where they're the strongest , we frankly we suck at them . Not to mention they have huge players . That will be a problem .
If we win , Serbia mentally could be down , they still have to play Roumanie at home too , knowing they have to win their remaining games to still 1st .
ALLEZ LES BLEUS ! Avec vous dans la victoire comme dans la défaite !

And then their last game is away to Lithuania. I really think there's a good chance Serbia will drop at least 2 points in their last two games, so if we beat them and take care of Austria at home on the last match day, we finish top of the group. If Serbia manages to win against Romania and Lithuania, then more power to them--they'll be the deserving winners of the group.
Now we need to convert our chances on Wednesday and yes, make sure we have them well covered on set plays.

In Antic we trust.;) Unlike Domenech in France, Antic has a kind of cult status in Serbia.
Depending on a formation I expect one of these two line-ups.
In case of usual 4-4-2 formation
-------Stojkovic----------
--Ivanovic----Vidic---Subotic(Lukovic)---Obradovic
--------Krasic---Stankovic----Milijas------Jovanovic------
--------------------Zigic-------Lazovic------
In case he opts for 5-man midfield:
-------------Stojkovic---------------
Ivanovic-----Vidic------Subotic(Lukovic)--------Obradovic
-------Stankovic--Milijas--------------
Krasic---------Kacar---------Jovanovic
-----------------Zigic-----------------------
Personally I do not like the idea of Zigic playing as a sole striker. He is more efficient when paired with Lazovic.
We should also take full of advantage of our specialty-set-pieces. Vidic, Subotic, Ivanovic,Zigic and Kacar are all a great threat on set-pieces.
We also have a great record at home, the last time we lost the match at Marakana was 8 years ago.
General mood among the players is that they will try to play patiently(some like goalkeeper Stojkovic would be satisfied with a draw) and try not to get carried away by euphory " we must win " that exists among the fans.

I'm frankly surprised by all the optimisim. Judging from the last thread and the papers, we are destined to lose this match 2 nil; Ray gets sacked. Caretaker Gerard takes over and brilliantly movtivates our multimillion euro footballers to play properly, winning our next four games and subsequently the world cup :D

Kacar vs. Gourcuff ! Both are on fire in their leagues....interesting pair if Kacar will play...

The game with Roumanie wasn't as bad as people are making it , we absolutely dominated them for the first 45 minutes .
Best we've played under RD , but that's the problem , he's been coach since 2004 .
Serbia's home record is impressive , the important thing here for us is to score the first goal .

this game has 1-1 written all over it. Hopefully I'm wrong and France can do the business over there. Domenech is a clown by the way.

According to L'Equipe Ribéry is on the bench AGAIN .
WTF why bother including him in the squad if he's so unfit ?

L'équipe probable
Lloris - Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra - Toulalan, L. Diarra - Anelka, Gourcuff, Henry - Gignac .
Abidal CB ... no Ribéry ... I'm not confident :o

That`s the team as confirmed at start. Abidal CB... no Ribéry... and Serbia is attacking the whole first 7 minutes. :(

This should be the end of Domenech.
Penalty for Serbia, red for Abidal. Game over.
Correction: red for the keeper. My feed sucks.
