Teams:
England: Robinson, G Neville, A Cole, Campbell, Carragher, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Beckham, Rooney, Owen.
Iceland: Arason, Ingimarsson, Indridi Sigurdsson, Marteinsson, Hreidarsson, Helguson, Thordur Gudjonsson, Johannes Gudjonsson, Gretarsson, Gudjohnsen, Helgi Sigurdsson.
Is it my imagination or is Sven in a panic. A week to go and he`s tinkering like crazy. Out goes the diamond, Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes all swap around. Sven could do with the team clicking today, no more time left after this one.

From soccernet.com's live commentary, "A Mexican has begun around the stadium as Robinson intercepts a dangerous-looking pass towards Sigurdsson."
What does that mean?

It means a Mexican wave. You may call it something else but it`s when people in the stadium stand up and sit down in sequence so it looks like a wave rolling around. It`s usually a sign the games gone a bit quiet.

I doubt there are any live feeds on the internet. In five minutes SGE might make 10 substitutions anyway, so this first half was the half that counted.

Half time. It was a drab first 20 minutes, after that all we did was score three goals. That is likely to be the team that starts against France, Rooney has secured his starting place and maybe Gerrard will be kept in the centre.

It was a very friendly game, so not too much to get from it. I thought the midfield were happier in the apparent 4-4-2 rather than a diamond, still quite a bit of movement and interchanging though which is very good when it works.
Scholes missed a chance early on which if he'd got would have been nice for his confidence, but I think he'll be fine.
Always good to see Rooney play ahead of Heskey, I thoroughly enjoy watching him play, even in friendlies.
Bit of sloppiness to give away the goal from the set piece, but at 3-0 up in a friendly when they know they're being subbed off in a minute or two means it's not a real worry.

GOAL! Another excellent goal, involving Butt, whose chip found Heskey, before his flick-on is neatly volleyed home at the back post by Bridge for his first-ever England goal.
