I loved the first one, but this looks awful.

No Willem Dafoe!? IT oculd make a decent popcorn movie, but trying to wedge in a Dafoe 'protege' (ugh, what a horrible and tired cliche) without him even having a minor role? Probably just about killed it for me. :(

Honestly, William DeFoe didn't make or break Platoon and I do not think his absence will make or break this sequal.
When a porcelain toilet is torn from its base, dropped on a Russian's head from 50 ft and thus saves one of the main characters early on...not having that might be what will dent this sequal but if anyone thinks a movie's part deux will ever be anywhere close to the original in direction and power will always be let down someway.
