We need to have something before the tailgate. The tailgate thing is bomb...but there is NO REASON we can't throw a party a little earlier in the day ( especially since there will be plenty of hardcore fans coming from out of town. ) Why not Mollys?

What time? I'm still debating whether I should take off work or not.

We are considering it, but there is plenty of reasons why it may not work, including the fact that people will be working during the day or traveling into town during the day. We are looking into getting something set up at Molly's, but with it being a midweek game the tailgate planning has taken much of our attention. Nothing is stopping people from congregating at Molly's before going to the tailgate, but not many locals will be there due to work. We may just start the tailgate earlier than normal and make it a complete blowout as early as we can.

I am J Love and I approve this message.
I wasn't in SLC this past weekend, but I hear this is how they rocked it before the match.

Word. Will you list it on AO's webpage and set up a time?

I was in SLC, and most people ditched Lumpy's pretty early to get to the tailgate at Rio Tinto. Kickoff was at 6:00 PM, but by around 2:00 Lumpy's was pretty devoid of US fans.
For the October 14th game at RFK, I'll be leaving work around 3:00 and heading straight to lot 8.

Just a note-it seems a lot of people are coming in from out of town on the 13th for this match. Plus, a good part of the contingency headed to Honduras will be flying directly into DC on either the 12 or 13th.
The party in SLC at Lumpy's on Fri night rocked-though, people left kind of early from that one too. I didn't make it back to Lumpys on Sat as I was staying out in Sandy and never made it back to the hotel from the Fri party until 9 am Sat.
Anywhere to get together the night of the 13th?

There are plenty of places to gather, but where is the question. In the past, we've headed for places around Capital Hill the night before the game. Again, it's a work day, so the turnout may be light. I will just be returning from a vacation, so I expect to be very busy at work that week and will only be able to make it the game just barely.

Cover charge for the tailgate? Or are we doing BYOB?
And thank you everyone for organizing these events. I am very grateful for your efforts.

Not sure if it runs similar to the SE tailgates prior to DCU matches, but they are usually 10 bucks (non-members) for buffet and beverages. It's well worth it.

They might have to change the name of the Pour House to the RICH house. Four RICHmond AO's plan to hit it prior to tailgate. Don't let us drink alone, it could get ugly.
C'mon you YANKS!

What time you guys gonna show up there? Me and my crew are taking off the whole day
SE Tailgate: Will start at 5 pm. Tailgate pass sales end at 6:30, buffet closes at 7 pm
Tailgate passes are $10 for ALL US Supporters (includes buffet and drinks).
To order passes, send payment via Paypal to payments@screaming-eagles.com (include in notes section what game passes are for and how many you want). Pick up passes at the SE membership table on game day. It's EXTREMELY helpful for planning if people order passes in advance (make sure we have enough beer!)
People can contact Jeff at tailgates@screaming-eagles.com if they would like to volunteer for the tailgate (volunteers eat for free). Need help with set up, tear down, buffet, grill and drinks tent. We also can use some sides and desserts, if you can bring something (doesn't have to be homemade, bag of chips is fine), send an email to Suzanne at queenofcheese@screaming-eagles.com
