It's simple , we must win .

I'd like to see Gignac start , replace Henry who isn't 100% ready . ( He missed Barcelona's game last night )

I'm very nervous , we have yet to put in a confident performance in this group .

Hope Lloris starts as GK , and Abidal is NOT playing CB .

no need to be worried Plantini, France will win 2/3-0 I guarantee it:D and an ugly 1-0 win in Serbia via Ribery 79th minute strike, I don't guarantee that but trust me:D

I agree Gignac needs to start

I just hope they don't come to Paris and play for a point , there's no coincidence that we've struggled vs Lituanie x2 and others with them tactics .

An early first goal for is important .

I think the boys know how important this is. I think Gignac and Lloris will get the start. Early goal to force them out of any negative tactics, and the game is ours.

My worries:

1. Clichy and Evra there, plus only 3 CBs, could mean that Ray plans to play Abidal as CB. That would be a disaster.

2. Henry out of shape. Yes, I said it.

3. Who's going to be LM? Malouda and Diaby are not exactly exciting options, IMO.

4. Keeper. The only one I trust some is Lloris, but he's not used to international pressure. And what if something happens to him?

1 . Evra needs to start performing , because for France he has sucked . The amount of times our left side has been exposed is because of him . At this rate I'd start Clichy over him . Also about Abidal , I read in L'Equipe that Escudé is favourite to start CB with Gallas :)

2 . I agree , Gignac should start this game .

3 . Malouda has been showing good perfromances for Chelsea lately , I hope to god Diaby doesn't start , although clearly talented he's still got ALOT to learn , tracking back is one of them .

4 . I'm confident in Hugo , always believed he's the better GK than Mandanda . I can't remember him making any huge mistakes + he controls his area very well from set-plays .

About the match itself Mutu isn't playing apparently .

Lloris has some big champions league games under his belt so he has some experience with big match pressure. I wouldn't worry about that, he's all business.

malouda has done pretty good in bleu recently.

either mandanda, lloris or carrasso would be fine. this is not a problem position.

a gallas/escudé patnership again might mean a heirarchy has been established. personally i would prefer squillaci but he's not as good a match with gallas.

i haven't seen clichy in a long time but abidal is probably better than evra has been for us. still, the real problem is on the other side. sagna just doesn't have it imo, and i can't understand why neither a return of réveillère or a chance for chalmé hasn't been envisaged.

Only problem with Sagna is that he doesn't provide much going forward, which is pretty much a neccessity for a fullback on that national stage nowadays. Anto has been playing real well this year going both ways. If he can keep it up for the season, theres no reason that he would make this squad. And I'd agree that overall Abidal has been a better player for les bleus than Evra ever has. And annoying Man u fans wonder why he isn't a lock for us. He's a player that really only excels against shitty teams. If he has to mark a real threat on the right side, it nullifies his game tremendously.

Sagna is very much useless going forward I agree .

Lloris could miss the game , he picked up an injury in training from Diaby . First Nasri and now Lloris .

Jesus Diaby, It's training! FFS. It's gotta be bad luck, or is he trying so hard to impress both his bosses that he's going a little too hard into these challenges I wonder.

Lloris

Sagna Gallas Abidal or Escudé Evra

L. Diarra Toulalan or A. Diarra

Anelka or Gignac Gourcuff Henry or Malouda

Benzema

Oh my god , WTF is Abidal doing there ? Do we not have natural CB's ?!

If that is the team , and Ribéry isn't starting then I don't know if my heart can handle watching this game .

I think Ray is saving Ribery for Wednesday, I don't think it will backfire, I hope at least

He's having fitness issues i guess. I'm not too concerned. If he is needed he can always come off the bench and he is a sparkplug when he does that. Might even work to our advantage.

I'm not a religious person but tonight I shall pray for the first time in over 20 years for Ray not to put Abidal in CB.

If we had someone else than Domenech in charge there would be Frey playing and Mexes alongside Gallas in central defense and there wouldn't be a problem.
I hope Benzema and Gignac will start the game. Gignac is new and young, whereas Benzema has to prove something since he has been criticized for not playing well for France. Sucks that Ribery is not 100%, we need him. I am a bit septical about Malouda's role for the national team. He is player who needs to be 100% to play well otherwise he's "fantomatique"

Has Gignac ever played on the side? I only remember him playing as a striker.

I believe he did against Lithuania, no?
