Looks like Bentley will get the first team experience he needs. I think this is a great move to develop one of our top young strikers. Hopefully, he won't do too well against us next season!

I hope he does do well against us. That way he may get a shot at cracking the first team.

I have mixed feelings about this. I certainly want Bentley to get first team football but I'm worried that this may end up being a Volz type situation where he may eventually be sold...especially if Norwich manage to avoid the drop. I don't want him sold. With Dennis only staying one more year, I see Bentley as the perfect player to possibly step into that role or play on the right. It would be a shame to lose him.
It's definitely a Catch-22 all around..... ;)

I cant see why Arsenal would let him go after this next season. Like arsene said he wants him to get experience so he can play much better in a few years time instead of sitting on the bench.

Well with Lauren as the starting right back (yes, I think he did fine) I would've thought that Volz would've been kept as well but he wasn't. I'm not certain Bentley will be sold....I'm just saying even the possibility worries me.

This is great news. I look forward to seeing Bentley develope even more with Norwich. He should be in the starting 11 for them every week, barring injury.

Should be an interesting experience for him - we'll get to see him play against us as well.

This is great news for all parties. Bentley will gain valuable experience in the Cannaries' quest to stay in the Premiership. Pundits tout him has the long term replacement for bergkamp, yet many ignore the fact that he is equally adept on the Left. Thus, is also a potential successor for Bobby Pires.
If things work out, as planned, then Arsenal could have three capable playmakers in their starting 11: Bentley, Van Persie and Cesc.

Good luck to Bently. In this article Nigel Worthington says Bentley should get looks in various posistions for Norwich.

AW only let go of Volz because he rates Hoyte as a better long-term replacement for Lauren.
Bentley might also be let go depending on how him and Van Persie do next season.

This will be great for Bentley to get the experience he needs. He's a great player but needs to gain the playing experience so that he can get into the first team in a year or two. It will also bring up his value in case there isn't a spot for him and AW can sell him to get more money for bigger signings.

Actually, we won't get to see him play against us. The Premiership changed it's loan rules this season to avoid conflicts of interest, so all loan signings are prohibited from playing against their clubs.

Wow, and that, I think, is utter sh!t. Probably Abramovich that put pressure with his Russian thugs to change that rule. "Forssell is the leading Chelsea scorer and he's playing for Birmingham. We don't want him to play against us. Boohoohoo..." That's some uncompetitive piece of crap ruling right there. You don't see Wenger whining over whether his loans can play against us. That's because he's got the balls to know that Arsenal can beat them signings or not. I guess it's ok for a Chelsea player to do well, but not against Chelsea. I don't really like attacking other teams as a rule. Players, especially RvN, are another story. But I do feel very strongly about this. I thought it was complete crap for them to not let Forssell play against them last season. Isn't a loan supposed to be for experience? Where is the experience if the player can't play against one of the top teams in the league?

Great news for Bentley, but if he impresses at Norwich I can see the signing being made permanent. There's a great chance for van Persie and Reyes to impress in the withdrawn striker role at Arsenal next season while Bentley is away on loan.
