This may be a long shot, but what the hell...

Because my seats for Man Utd v. AC Milan on 31 July are in the nosebleed section at Giants Stadium, I'm going to invest in a pair of binoculars to take to the match. If anybody knows anything about binoculars, specifically what magnification X objective diameter is best for viewing soccer, please let me know. I'm trying to decide between, a Nikon 7x35 with a 489' FOV and a WP 8x42 Konica Minolta with a 430' FOV. Thanks.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I don't know about binoculars, but I would want ones that have a high field of view.

Would you do us all a favor and, if you find the answer out outside of the forum (read: if all of us are too ignorant to help you), would you post your experiences/knowledge? This is a great question.

Thanks!

I went with the Nikon 7x35. I think the other poster was right, I'll really appreciate the greater FOV at games. It should also suffice for concerts and, eh-hem, "bird" watching.
