Kringe is another and I hear BVB is willing to let him go on a free loan BUT with Hertha, Freiburg, Koeln and other clubs off to such a bad start, he is likely to go there to stay in 1.BL football.

You called it. Kringe was loaned to Hertha today.

He would not have accepted the step down to the 2. Liga.

Although as s#itty as Dortmund is playing, that's not a big step down at the moment.

Since we will likely get shut down soon being over 500 posts, let's start the new thread here (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=18670524#post18670524).

Threads are going over 500 all the time now. But this is good looking out!

Daniel Bierofka will have to undergo ANOTHER operation it seems. He still is not in match condition and has pain in that knee.

I hate to say it, but I think he is done. He played those six games last season before getting injured in late September and then sat out until December when he came back for the last game of the hinrunde. He only played in 3 more games before getting re-injured. I think the pressure for him to come back last winter, due to our poor form, is really hurting him now. 1860 put FAR too much pressure on him to return and his injury likely was made worse as a result.

If he can come back, he will. He is one of the toughest players I have seen. But I am not sure there is much cartilage in that knee.

I love the guy, but I agree. I think Biero is done. And seeing the number of offensive midfielders Sechzig signed, I think they believe it too.

As I recall Vucicevic wanted to sign a contract with 1860 and was very appreciative that 1860 stood by him during the doping scandal. I have no problem with a player leaving to make more money *IF* he is performing *AND* 1860 cannot offer him the additional cash. Players' careers are so short, they need to book as much income as they can in a short period before they retire. I will NEVER fault anyone for that.

Yes, I can remember us discussing the situation.

I DON'T think he is the answer we need, though. I think he is a name someone pulled out of the air because he is a former Sechz'ge player and Serbian....which seems to be the only place with football talent these days.

I don't think Sechzig can afford that "answer it needs". If Fester is out there and available, get him.

Simak has been mentioned too. I could see him helping, but not much....plus he is a mercenary and will go wherever the money is greater. THAT player has little loyalty.

Simak won't step down to the 2nd Bundesliga. Anyone who mentioned him was just talking shit. If Simak wanted a step down, he'd be in Hannover already.

I have no problem, too. Nowadays its usual that players leave clubs for money... I agree with you .... but Vucicevic has never wanted to extend his contract ... NEVER !!!! Thats the point.... 1860 hold on to him .... he spoke about being soo thankful for the club etc.... and then he moved to Köln...... A lot of fans(not only me) woudn´t mind if he went to Real or Manchester or a club in the first european leagues... but like he did it.... this was deceit !!!

AAAAAAAND can someone explain me why you call him "fester" ??? Im just not gettin the picture....the only german nicknames I remember were....

"der Platterte" (deepest Bavarian) ="the bald patch"
"der, der die Haare so schön hat"= the, who has beautiful hair
"die Bowlingkugel"= the bowling ball
etc....

today a newspaper is comparing the situation of 1860 withthe situation of Wolfsburg two years ago... they´ve got a lot of new players at that time when Magath became coach.... and had 4 points out of 4 games....

I cannot speak as to what was in his heart, but both he and his agent tried to work with 1860 to get a contract done, but his salary demand was just too high and Reuter would not meet it. Having just paid out Schachner and having Cerny and Tyce still to pay, they could not afford to pay what he wanted. I do not think that is Nemi's fault.

One is "Uncle Fester" from a popular US TV show called "The Munsters". The other is Nemanja Vucicevic. Can you pick which is which?

Oooh. We're going to have some serious Feuerzangenbowle too....... :D

That Augsburg match is on the weekend of 13 December.

How do you get tix that far out now? Through fan-shop?

And if it is on a Friday, it will be hard for me to make it for a 1800 kickoff.

I'd have to try to get time off work.

Not sure why 1860 would go after Koller after getting Cooper. We need creative midfielders, not tall strikers.

But Koller and Nemanja do look alot alike. :D

I´d like to offer myself to order the tickets for you....I´ve got an account at Löwen ticketing, which allows me order the cheaper standing seats.... thats normally only possible if you are member of a fanclub or of the club.....

Some of us BVB fans called him "Big Daddy Dino".

Some called him "Lerch".

But he didn't look more like "Lerch" than fellow Czech striker Vlatislav Lokvenc. :D

Thanks, but I put myself out of the standing at matches business quite awhile ago.

I have an account at Sechzig's on-line ticketing site myself, but of course, the Augsburg tickets aren't up for sale yet.

Yes, but we will have to microchip my kids then so we don't lose them because they want to go too. Ian want drink one of those....Katie you will have to keep away from those.:D

It's a Sunday. So all we have to do is stuff you in a south-bound Zug nach G+P and have someone pick you up. :D Maybe would could entice Ellen to drive us down *IF* she got to spend the night at one of those spa hotels. :D

Well, as long as we don't go to that biggest Feuerzangenbowle in the world they have set up. Wendy and I did it last year and their stuff was crap.

We made quite a bit of our own.

Dude. You don't get it. That match weekend has not been set yet. All the matches are scheduled for Sunday right now. They will be set sometime after the first round of UEFA competition.

That match can be any day that weekend from the Friday to the Monday.

Kiraly (4): How you can get a 4 when you have a shut out and the other team hardly EVER put one on frame is beyond me.

Rukavina (3,5): Did his job defensively but had ZERO overlaps.

Felhi (3): No goals allowed but hardly "owned" the back and created attack from the back like he should.

T. Hoffmann (3): He looked okay back there, though there was one HUGE patzer when Ahlen attacked down the flank and Holebas was up field...instead of closing down the flaker torben just hung in no-man's-land and was played out of the play. A better team would have punished him for that.

Holebas (4): Man if Ruka had a 3,5 and Torben had a 3 then Holebas should have gotten better than a 4. If not for him closing down the Ahlen right winger, it could have been an uglier game. Yes, he did not flank either, but a 4 is a bit harsh.

Ignjovski (4): Better showing than his last match but not by much. Again, if a better team was playing them he would have had his ass handed too him. FAR too timid.

Lovin (4): Absolutely ZERO ideas came from him all game. No probing runs. No cool passes. He was uncool and uncalm back there. Not Souveran.

Aigner (3,5): Giving him his rating is GENEROUS. He was awful...simply awful. Could not hold the ball, could not run at anyone. Looked like a rookie out there. Holebas was FAR better than Aigner.

Rösler (3,5): Now we come to the crack-smoking portion of the ratings. Clearly Mrs. Roesler was on her knees during the game near the Kicker ratings guy for Sascha to even come CLOSE to a rating like this. He was PATHETIC. At least THREE TIMES, he simply punted the damn ball into Neverland....and not as a defensive clearance either!!! He was tactically bankrupt and skills-wise bereft of anything resembling professional talent.

Cooper (5): To give Cooper a 5 when Roesler....they guy who was SUPPOSED to be getting him the ball...gets a 3,5 is nothing short of moronic on the part of the rater. I counted no less than 12 times that Cooper had to track back and cover Roesler's ass because Roesler was up forward WALKING back into position as Ahlen was countering. If not for Kenny they would have had a full run down the wing. I would have givne him a 4.

Lauth (4,5): Hmmmm, Kenny gets a 5 but Benny gets a 4,5 having missed a freak'n sitter 6m out? And Benny did not track back as much as Kenny?

I think this guy was on dope. You cannot give a keeper who was not tested and did not allow any goals a 4. You cannot give a wing midfielder who did not do his job and was seen walking back into positions on counters a 3,5 when he did NOTHING to make up for his f'ups.

I really hate the Kicker ratings. I mean, watch the same game at least.
