In the German press Oliver Kahn stated that he wants to leave Bayern Munich (even though he has a contract until 2006).
Since that interview (on monday, I believe) the media is saying that ManU shows some interest in getting Kahn.
Has anyone here heard of that rumour and what would you think of it.

I think Kahn probably used to be the best goalie in the world in 2002 but since than his form is in decline (affairs, his faults were the reason why Bayern got kicked out of European Cup, Championship and DFB-Cup).
But I think that he is able to improve in a new environment as his problems are mentaly.

Was once probably the best keeper in the world. On the downside of his career now. Rubbish rumour though.

We have Tim.

Timmy > Kahn :)

Kahn should be brought in as soon as possible, and handed the #1 shirt.

Of course, my view is somewhat clouded... ;)

You just want to see Tim become a Gunner. ;)

Man oh man... the Lehmann vs. Kahn showdowns we could have! :D Seaman & Barthez in the studio, anybody?

If we didn't need Barthez then we don't need to sign another blunder-prone keeper in Kahn.

Timmy is the long term goalkeeper and SAF has full confidence in Timmy.

If Kahn comes to MU as goalkeeping coach I would welcome him. :D

Any chance you two want to piss off back to the stone you so blatantly crawled out from under???

If you're going to come on this board then at least try and provide some footballing insight - if all you can do is abuse then try the Rivalries boards instead.

Now ******** off...

Any chance of TwoBeasleys & Bobplayed givign their opinion on anything? I figure it'd be rather zani. Nah, they'd just prefer to sit their calling people names behind the protection of aq computer screen and annonymity. OH, to be brave...

Aaaahhh, they can't help it. A faction of USMNT supporters gets severe "panties bunched syndrome" if anyone says that Tim Howard isn't the greatest keeper in the universe.

Then again, I don't understand computer language, so I may have missed the boat here.

But he's not. That spot belongs Brad 'Apeman' Friedel, with Keller actually slipping to the #6 spot worldwide - they are a realistic bunch, afterall.

And yes, bigtoga's post completely missed me too - I think it was more of an algebraic formula than computer psychobabble though, to be honest. Maths isn't really my subject; more of an English scholar, myself.

I thought Keller was still #4. I need to keep up better, I guess.

Yep, the discovery of johnny walker puts keller at number 6 in the world, and zach thornton sitting on a bench in same country as the champions of europe puts him at 5th.

It all has to do with Robinson being brought into Spurs instead of Lars Hirschfeld. You see, the fact that he will be battling with an Englishman as opposed to being the definite #1 over a Canadian is a symbol of diminishing American power. Kasey has let the nation down and public opinion of him is a falling as a consequence.

But what happens if Arena names Keller the back-up to Friedel and not Howard? Does Howard maintain his #2 world ranking, or does Keller move up? It' difficult to keep up with whoever is the "Universe's #1" with Arena being so damn coy....
