Ricardo currently wear #17 and he is on loan.

Squad numbers for next season are announced I think around mid-July

If he wants 17, don't be surprised to see him get it. It is blatantly obviosu that Ricardo has no future at ManU, since he only got 1 or 2 games and had Taibi-esque stinkers. Howard & Carroll are far better and are considerably younger, too; Ricardo being 32 by now, I'd guess.

Are are there Leeds supporters in Maryland?

There are many in the DC area which I see quite often in their "Strongbow"-laden kits. Also, at most of the local and regional soccer tournaments I play in, I see a fair amount of Chelsea (more this year for some reason  ), Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Fulham, Blackburn, and even some Man City being represented. Oh, and Celtic is quite popular.

Of course, there's always some Boca Juniors, Pumas, Necaxa, Barca, Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, etc. to be seen as well.

Actually, almost everytime I go somewhere, I almost always see a couple of footie kits being worn...

God bless Fox Sports World.

Trinidad is the worse... I am sure we have more Brazil kits than there are in brazil- everyday I see no less than 15... and i am not going to a game or anything... the worse is clubbing... if u have Nedved, Becks, Zidane, Kaka... then u are allowed to enter... or so it seems... everyone wears kits to clubs... we have Carlsberg in Trinidad as of recent, but we have always been a ManU country and most of the country supports manU, lets say 35% of footie fans, then say 20% support Real and maybe 15%Arsenal and perhaps 5% Liverpool... and the rest don't care about the EPL or dont have a favorite english team...

Yorkie's influence? Or before that?

Yeah, mostly Yorke's influence. That's why I started watching the EPL, just to follow Yorke.

I would rather die a painfull death than hear someone in my family say they support ManU.

But the problem is my step-dads a manc, and my baby step-brothers 2yrs.

Heres hoping he isn't like his dad...

Nope.. not Yorke... Yorke had a minimal impact... Invincible is perhaps a bit too young (not sure of age) to have experienced being a footy fan before Yorke, but ManU was always huge in Trinidad before Yorke.. Yorke did not bring any fans to Aston Villa and his move to ManU to many signalled that he was really a great player (cuz he did not really show it after about 4 years of being a pro at Aston Villa- he was there for 6)

ManU was just big.. very big... we got their games on TV when they were in CL before we got anything else...

Yeah, I'm part of the younger generation of footballers, but I've always been attracted to the EPL, so slowly I grew to love Man Utd.

Glad to hear that Man Utd had an impact in T&T.

Minimal impact? Yorke and Cole formed the most formidable striking duo in the league and Europe itself! He had two fantastic seasons with us and every one of those 65 goals he scored were special! Not to forget he's the first united player to score a hat trck against the Arse in a while

Maybe the poor guy will luck out and Smithy won't end up with 17.
