Man united to take this out, sure Arsenal is playing better football, but when ever anyone says United are done, they show us that they arent.

To be honest that was disgusting match. I'm a die hard United fans but not quite sure if we deserve the whole 3 points.
Carrick
Carrick's passes was rubish, and he gave the ball very cheaply way too often.
Wes Brown
Wes Brown shouldn't play as a center defender, once he gave the ball too obviously. Then he colided with Vidic to give Diaby a chance to redeem himself. Lack of understanding I'd say.
Valencia
Not quite sure what he's doing. I mean there were other players than Rooney to pass the ball to.
Berbatov
How on earth could he miss that. My goodness.. and people have been saying Owen was rubbish.
Fletcher
As usual he's been superb. I fancy him to play in every single game. Great performance by the lad.
Rooney
Magnificent, rarely made mistake. I was impressed when he tried to head the ball out by doing a diving header but at the same time I don't want to see him injured getting his head kicked by whoever that was.
Diaby
WTF, What the heck was he thinking.. under no pressure he headed the ball to his own. But thanks anyway.
4th Official
As much as I don't like him, do they really have to humiliate him like that? It was an odd moment, but I think sending him off was very unnecessary.
Foster
People have been too harsh with him (including the game's commentators). He did very well against Burnley and magnificent saves during the first half time against Wigan. His save that prevented Persie's goal was magnificent.
All in all, I hate to say this but it wasn't a great performance. Arsenal was clearly the better side. We were very lucky to bag those 3 points.

I enjoyed what I saw, was only able to catch the highlights, the own goal was a shocker, a tough match, there will be a ton of spite when they meet again.

I was surprised by Rooney's attempt there and thought it was a bad stupid move by him. He got very lucky that the Arsenal player who was chasing the ball didn't step on his head or kick it. I hope he got an earful from SAF. There's hustling for the ball and then there's stupid move like this.
Didn't like the way he won the penalty as well; though not as obvious as Eduardo dive, it was still one. Lucky for him Almunia ended up touching him anyway.
To paraphrase Drogba: The 4th official was a disgrace!

It wasn't either teams best performance and probably should have ended in a tie. That's football though.

i thought the ref was an absolute disgrace.
He basically went into that game with retribution for Celtic on his mind.
How he never gave Arshavin that penalty i don't know, How he never booked Fletcher from as early as the 10 minute of play is ridiculous ,How the majority of the fouls in the first half were committed by Man u ,but Arsenal players got yellow cards from first infractions and no warnings is beyond me and how a manager can get kicked out of the game for kicking a bottle is bizarre. That many major infraction in one match tells you one things refs are as impartial as David Duke.
They read the same papers ,listen to the same talk shows, watch the same sports programs and go to the same pubs as everyone else. They are as much as the fabric of that country as the next man ,and that's the problem ,because they are obviously not operating at a level higher than those beers swilling life long supporters of their geographical stomping grounds.
I would hope they would feel ashamed of themselves for being so blatantly tainted by the goings on of the week previous ,but that would be asking way too much from these idiots.

Mike Dean is from Wirral. How did that give you the idea that he is a Celtic fan or that Glasgow is his 'geographical stomping ground'?

That was a generalization, public opinion shaped by blanket news coverage was all over the UK concerning this incident.
I didn't say he was a fan of celtic ,but he had every right to think in the current climate that he was doing what he thought would make him a hero to fans of "British football".
case in point sky sports had the audacity to run an interview of Rooney criticizing Diving in recent games ,stating in so many words how he would never do such a thing. What is the usual policy with the Nationalistic leaning Sky and their throng they have a double standard regarding infractions by footballers in that league. They showed footage of Eduardo and Eboue in that interview when they could have showed these......

By favouring Man Utd at Old Trafford. C'mon now...
Although regarding Rooney I will admit that he has taken a few dives in his career, and was more than likely on his way to doing the same for that penalty. Almunia coming out and making contact however made that fairly irrelevant, especially regarding the referee viewing it in real time. I was watching the game with a friend who supports Arsenal and even he thought it was a penalty in real time.

I'm not saying it wasn't a penalty ,i was pointing the hypocrisy in the British press regarding what foreign players do and when Domestics do the same.
That's the people who shape the opinions of the majority and there for will have an effect on the dumb ass ref's.

The press in England can tend to look through, or past incidents when it concerns domestic players from time to time, but do not be fooled into thinking that these players get away scott-free all the time because they don't.
The behaviour of Steven Gerrard in recent years has been highlighted more than once and it is now becoming more and more common place for these players to be scrutinised as much as any other foreign national now.
Rooney is not a diver. Not by habbit. He has maybe 2 or 3 incidents against him in his entire career. As a player from England and as a United player, I'm highly embarassed by it all when it happens, especially as he's not even a good diver. The likes of Ronaldo, Joe Cole and Drogba can make the slightest touches look like scything tackles. Rooney just look's ridiculous and awkward. The same could be said of Gerrard, although he has slowly perfected his technique over the last couple of years. I've been impressed.
The less said about Heskey the better. I can't work out whether he's just got terrible balance or whether he's actually trying to dive. He just looks like a tumbling wardrobe to me............

but the point agin is the hypocrisy.
Sky can have the audacity to use Rooney as a pillar of moral conduct ,even with his past antics not including diving. You can have statements by British players giving everyone this holier than thou attitude when they are just as bad. They are quick to point the finger at foreign players being the culprit time and time again,in some kind of vein attempt at validating their significance in the league in the form of moral high ground.
It's a joke and people in the UK fall for it every time, willingly.
By the way Rooney happens to be my favourite British player and one of the few from that country i consider elite quality as a player.

Seriosuly, the hypocrisy of our press is very old news when it comes to this. We're sick of it too.
I think you may have been caught up in our press' hypocrisy more than us. We're cynical by default, and tend to think of the press as a bunch of muppets who will change their stance at a moment's notice if they think it'll sell. We tend to ignore their ravings or it gets you all stressed out ...
And Billy's right, favouring Man U with decisions is not a way to endear yourself to the British public. It's a sure way to get yourself despised. It's not exactly the first time there's been strange decisions at Old Trafford, or any ground for that matter.
Although I must say I felt sorry for Wenger, in his defense he didn't see the bottle ... just kicked out and there it was.

Another point missed. I didn't say they favoured man u ,i said they were biased against Arsenal. Regardless of who Arsenal played in that particular game at that time that ref was out for retribution plain as day. I know all about home town decisions in every sport they are part of the game i am completely aware of. that however is not what my gripe is, my gripe is that the ref blatantly ruled against Arsenal without fear of recourse because of the climate in the press and the country regarding the hot story of the week Eduardo's "dive". The fact that he feels he can ref a game in that way free of any kind of punishment or criticism is the problem.
As for strange decisions at Old Trafford ,yeah i know ,but name a time when you have seen that many strange decisions in one game ,they always happen to Arsenal for some uncanny reason. Last season Stoke basically kicked the Crap out of them and put 3 of there main players out of commission for about a month. Adebayor,Walcott and Diaby (i think) Adebayor and the ball wasn't even on the pitch when he almost got his ankle broken by a stoke player. Walcott got "tackled" from behind and his shoulder dislocated and Diaby another dirty play. NO reds not even a yellow o for any of these offenses if my memory serves me right. NOt a peep out of the press, but you know what if Man u lost Ronaldo,Rooney and Evra in one game you wouldn't hear the last of it and the ref would have been relegated to the championship at least.Hypocrisy? you bet.
The fact that Sky can run a story about diving and use Rooney as a spokesman for the higher ground we British players take is an insult to the intelligence of the viewership.
Let's face it though if either the ref or Sky thought what they did would be unpopular they wouldn't do it. Rooney not the worst diver ,but compared to eduardo his record is terrible ,but Eduardo is made the scapegoat in retro of the offense. Hypocrisy 1 on 1.
