Great player, great professional. 9 years of fantastic service to the club, I hope the new imports are as dedicated as he has been throughout his City tenure. Glad he's landing on another competitive team and will be seeing first team football. I am disappointed that his formed dropped off so badly, but this was an inevitability I suppose. Good luck in the future Dunnie, you will be missed!

Not shocking news i guess, i mean....
Toure, lescott, onouha, kompany, richards
But credit to him, he has been a model pro Throughout all this.

Everyone knew it was coming, hell we were even encouraging it. Even so, it is always sad to see a City legend go.

He really is the last connection to the past for me personally.
I started supporting seriously around Keegan-era, an he is the last from that time.
Sure SWP but he spent a sabbatical in London, and Stevie was basically reserves back then. So with Dunnie leaving, I really feel a sadness that I actually did not anticipate, especially being one of his more vocal critics.
Good Luck Dunnie and Good Luck to Villa as well. He is a real legend of Eastlands.
Without Dunne, i daresay we would have been relegated many moons ago, he has held us together time and time again. He has been a great servant and i hope him great fortune in all of his future endeavours. The best thing I could have ever imagened was Dunne holding a cup aloft in his career as a Citizen, he did that by beating Barcelona :). It's not the Champions League, but it still was brilliant watching him hold it aloft by beating the best team in europe.
Good luck Dunnie.

I'm torn. I wish he still had the same form he did a couple years ago, but I think we became a better team today. Wish him the best of luck and hopefully he'll score an own goal for us when we play Villa.

As important as he has been to City over the years, the timing does feel just about right.

Nobody can ever deny the hard man status that Dunney embodies. When we play Villa on Oct. 5th, will he chop down Robinho?

Richard Dunne has accused Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook of trying to sell him behind his back. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/8237605.stm)
Indeed, interesting.

Great servant to the club and certainly I wish him all the best at Aston Villa. It's a shame City had to sell him but they have Lescott, Toure and more.
