This one is the only detail I could find:
A spokeswoman for Bedfordshire Police said: 'Police were called to Springfield Avenue in Kempston at 5am after a report of a person being stabbed.
'A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for serious injury which is not thought to be life-threatening at this time.
'A 19-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident in connection with the assault.
'But the investigation is still ongoing and house to house inquiries, scenes of crime officers and a cordon are at the scene at this moment in time.'
The arrested man was taken into custody for questioning.
Seems You´re right harkes6

And more:
Calum Davenport is understood to have received multiple stab wounds in the attack which could have killed him last night.
According to a source, the Hammers defender is thought to have sustained a series of injuries - to both legs, his groin and his neck - during the frenzied attack which is said to have taken place at his home in Bedford last night.
The former England under-21 is understood to have intervened in a row between a family member and a close acquaintance during a evening out in Bedford last night. It is said that the row esculated at the family home which ended up with both Davenport and his mother receiving numerous knife wounds.
The 26-year-old centre half - who has only recently recovered from a broken neck sustained whilst playing for Watford (on loan) last season - was initially placed on the critical list but is thought to be responding well to treatment, despite being told that he is lucky to be alive.
As mentioned in earlier report, a 19-year-old man is helping police with enquiries.

This is disgraceful. He had a word with his sister, as his mum was worried about the friends she had. Next thing these two little cowards came round with a blade and cut him up. He could well loose a leg probably lost his career as it is.
I hope they get locked up and the prison system doesn't protect them. I am really distraught over this. Worst kind of scum.

Here it is. Another tale from the naked city. Only the names have been removed to protect the innocent (if there are any in this tale)
A footballer and his Mum had a row with the footballer's sister. I hear that the footballer gave her a couple of slaps. (Really nice man, this footballer) His sister, who is pregnant by her boyfriend; and has a child by another man, phones her current boyfriend and tells him to sort her brother out.
The boyfriend, together with a 19 year old friend, drive down from Derby to Bedford. The footballer (the nice guy, who slaps his sister around) goes out to meet the sister's boyfriend. The boyfriend stabs the footballer several times. Mum rushes in to stop it and gets stabbed herself.
The sister is next seen in the public area as her boyfriend is in court. She has a black eye ( from the footballer maybe) and is crying over her loved one. The boyfriend gets bail and the sister goes off with him.
Check this out mods please. I don't want to post anything I shouldn't. Thanks.

I keep telling you to keep of those Sheff Utd forums!!
Although that particular story did make, small as it was, an attempt to portray a factual event.
Gutted for Davenport though. This is obviously a deliberate attack aimed at ending his career. I hope for his sake, and to deny his attackers any satisfaction, we see him playing again.
