Saputo is probably registering those domains just in case. However, I don't think the registering of those domains means the status has changed for Montreal.

At the end of the day, Saputo, the Quebec government, and Garber still have to meet to determine if Saputo Stadium will get the 25 million dollars from the government.

The big news and any significant status changes to Montreal's bid will come after they meet.

i think 2012-- make saputo wait an extra year so he understands that mls brass do not jump to his tune after his last behavior during the bid process for spots # 17 and 18

also. it gives another expansion talk, rather than bring all 3 cities in 2011-- it adds to the credibilitiy of mls

montreal will be another great success story, following on the heels of TO, seattle, philadelphia, vancouver and portland

the problem is-- who will be # 20?? no city jumps off the page at this time and mls would be wise until one does rather than make a decision that is filled with question marks and possible dubious results

2012 makes more sense, given that Stade Saputo should be 100% MLS ready and that it'll give Portland and Vancouver a break. As for whole will be #20? Fingers crossed for St. Louis.

Watching the LA-DC game right now - Max Bretos is certainly not the most credible source for MLS info, but he just mentioned Montreal coming into MLS.

i think that was so someone else doesn't register it. Do we know when an announcement will be made that says Montreal gets the spot?
