I got an email from AO saying that they have tickets for the game in October and they are only on sale till the 27th. WTF? It also says they ARE NOT general admission. K, do you know what the deal with this is ? Will SE be selling tickets as well or is this my only chance.

I sent the SE ticket mistress an email this am to see if she had any info so I'm waiting to hear back (if she has to contact DCU it could take a day to hear back from them). In the past the AO/SA sections have been next to the SE/BB sections and the DC supporters clubs have sold their own tix (season tix holders and SE members get priority in our sections). As US Soccer is squirrelly who know what they're doing. If you're hot to get a ticket, why not just buy from AO now?

Question from the confused..
Ok, ive never been to a game before, but want to get my feet wet before i head down to S.A. in the summer (luckboxed my way into some tix via lottery)..
anyways, i live down here and wanted to go to the game in October. Can anybody give me information such as if there is a massive tailgating thing (if so, can i just go to it, what do i bring, etc.) Tickets? do i just purchase them on stubhub or whatever, and search for a section that S.A./A.O. will be in, or do those groups sell them, and then you just buy from them or what. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Looking forward to October, and more importantly June, its going to be that time before you know it!
Chris
Right now the American Outlaws are selling game tickets, I'm assuming the SEs will be soon as well as US Soccer. No need to use a tix reseller, game won't be sold out and you have other options to get good seats without getting ripped off. Tix resellers do not have access to tickets for any of these sections so if you want to sit with AOs or SEs (or BB or SA) you have to buy from them directly.
The SEs will have some sort of tgate, we charge like $10 per person, includes buffet and drinks (or if you want to just drink, there we are). We usually ask people to purchase tix in advance as it helps us with food and drink numbers.

The AO email I got explained the tickets would be in the supporters section (so assuming the sections K mentioned) but wouldn't be GA tickets as per stadium policy. As for the 27th deadline I don't know for sure but I can only assume this is something being put forward by US Soccer... Letting AO sell tickets up until the 27th until they open up the sales to the general public maybe?

This is odd though. Another example of USSF screwing over fans.( a week is unheard of ) And the general admission thing is odd too because AO and SE have sold USA tickets in the past that were general admission. Strange.....

The SE Nest has never been GA, we're pretty much all DCU season tix holders and they expect to stand in front of their usual seats.
The short tix sales for supporters clubs is wacky but not unheard of, US Soccer has been doing that for at least a year.

Thanks K, i appreciate the gouge. So im assuming tailgate info will just be dessiminated on here then? So your saying the best course of action (or a good one) would be to just lock up the tickets via SA website for 45 dollars or are there ones being sold on here. Im probably just confusing myself haha, but either way I definitely look forward to the next 10 months of U.S. Soccer. Im just looking forward to rooting on the Nat team with a bunch of fellow fans that are passionate and want to create a good enviroment to represent the team and our pride.

You can buy AO tix right now via their website (if you're not a member they will be more). I'm assuming once their sale date is done then you can buy tix via US Soccer (but you probably need to be on their email lists or whatever the hell they're doing these days) or through Tixmaster. The SE tix info will some soon (the game is in Oct and DCU has the Beckham circus this Sat so this is not on their radar this week for sure). But as soon as we know something we'll post. Not sure what SA is doing. If you want cheaper tix and sit with the rowdies then buy from one of the supporters groups.
Tgate, night before meeting and maybe hotel info to come (it will be posted here). Also the DC AO chapter facebook page is going live tonight (or this week) so info will be on that too.

Never said that the Nest or the Perch was GA, just said that SE has sold American Outlaws GA tickets in the past( Gold Cup game ). And the 1 week long thing is unheard of for AO at least.....I just thought this was a little odd thats all K.

Dam I want to go so bad but none of my friends that I brought last time have any $. Would be weird traveling from Richmond to DC by myself but I guess that's the way it's gonna be. If I buy a ticket can I add any tickets on if I find someone to go?

Hey, I live in Charlottesville hold season tix to United and will definately go to that USa game I have 3 friends committed completely to go as well as myself. I was looking over SA site to find tix and they are available. I'd love to go I can drive if need be. We love to have fun. My friends have never been to a USA match either. I hope to initiate them.
Contact me and maybe we could work something out. We will go with you.

You should check out this forum on the DCU board (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=1019) as there are several people who come up from Richmond (they sometimes rent a van and go together).

last we heard is that the DCU supporters groups should be able to get their own seats
More to come when we hear more.

When did I say anything about 133 and 134? I just said SE has sold general admission tickets in the past ( Gold Cup AO tickets where GA sold through SE. )
