Well then, it would seem that the game as a competition is over.

Mourinho made some tactical moves in the game begining with taking off the young goal scorer - and every single one of them turned out to be a stroke of genious.

What chance of being at Chels now eh?

Ranieri, in his biggest test of his career in the semi-final made a right muck up of things.
Sad, but true.

Mourinho, in his biggest test of his career at a stage further, pulls of tactical brilliance.

Surely Abramovich will not have missed this.

Well, if he does join you, he won't be able to pull that "we're just a small poor team from Portugal" rubbish anymore....

Mourinho just said that this was his last match in for Porto. During the match Tommy Smyth said that Mourinho wouldn't comment on his future until the day after the match, but he obviously is on his way out, possibly to your side...?

Yeah, just seen that interview.
Fair play to him, he got it right on the night - indeed he's been getting it right all season long.

Not a great game by any stretch of the imagination though.
It's not that he's an "anti-football" type either really, he just knows how to stop other teams from playing to their best.

Strange when considering that Abramovich is reported to want "le sexy football".

It'll be interesting to see where he'll end up.
The way he plays though Liverpool would seem to suit him better imho.

srd....

yeah i'd agree, but with the better quality players at the bridge, and since peter kenyon was at the match,i'd say he's london bound....

Anybody else see his interview with Sky after the game? He definitely said he's England bound and has practically agreed to join his favored team. Looking very likely to be Chelsea now... and am not really sure how I feel about that. He is very straight-forward and all but is just a bit scary to me :D Hardly cracked a smile after they won tonight and what about that quick exit after he got his medal? Weird...

I`ve thought he was weird since the Man U/ Porto game. To begin with he seemed very composed then he went totaly ballistic, storming up and down the touchline, yes they`d just scored a match winning goal, but a clenched fist would have surficed. To descend into insanity was too much.

Tonight he accepted his winners medal posed for a photo then stormed off in a huff. Maybe success and imminent wealth has gone to his head. Could end up being a cross between Wenger and SAF, tactically astute but capable of blowing a fuse. He`s got as many European trophys to his name as both of them combined already. Assuming he goes to Chelsea, you`ve got a live one.

If Mourinho doesn't end up with Chelsea, where would he go? Tottenham? Newcastle? Juventus? Italian National Team?

Mourinho reminds me of the bad guy in an Indian movie. The suit, the hair, the staredown, and the vicious mood swings. He'll certainly change the mood at Stamford Bridge.

If it is about throwing wishes, here is my wish, I wish Wenger and his Arsenal never get even a draw against Mourinhos.I t should all be straight defeats from now on. - GO MOURINHOS. Show Wenger how it is done in Europe.

We need to keep Ranieri or at least get Deschamps who has some passion for Chelsea. Mourinho is not as good as Ranieri and is too serious. I is extremely strange. He won the biggest prize a club coach can win and he never showes any emotion.

He's a cocky, stubborn, arrogant p**ck in the mould of Alex Ferguson. Exactly what we need.

You are damn right. We don't need someone who goes public and says he doesn't know how to beat Arsenal.

Look, either one would be fine. It looks like we're getting Mourinho, so we'd better get used to it. Quite frankly, I think he's not a bad fit - we were very good last season, but I can't say we played free flowing smooth football most of the time. I think Mourinho can adapt to the players we have.

Yes but his comment was very discouraging. Some of us didn't even wanna watch that game.

Are you saying you didn't watch that game because Ranieri's statements were too discouraging. True fan you are, aren't you?
