Wow. Didn't know about the Tour of Missouri, but I'm already disappointed. The first thing I checked when I saw the post is whether or not it went through Hannibal, MO. Unfortunately, the race does not. I would have made a special trip to Hannibal from Chicago to see that!
It's a great town with magnificent scenery and some brutal hills that would have made a stage really exciting.
I read some articles, and Hannibal did put in an application to be a route city, but apparently it was denied. Too bad.
If the T.o.M. goes through there in 2010, I'm there.

Apparently this is the only other major international race in the U.S. besides the Tour of California. The Tour of Georgia was the other one, but it was cancelled this year. IIRC VdV won this last year, but since he's racing in the Vuelta (and presumably going for the GC) I doubt he'll be a serious contender in the Tour of Missouri.

If it weren't for bad luck, he would have no luck at all!

I'm really spoiled by the Versus coverage of the TdF. The coverage of the ToM was pretty pedestrian not to mention, brief. At least I'll see the final stage in person.

Universal Sports online has good coverage, including Paul Sherwen. Plus, you can go back and watch the day's stage in its entirety later....with good quality streaming. Just an FYI in case you didn't know about it.

And now DirecTV has pulled Versus from their lineup because of "outrageous demands" by the Comcast-owned channel.
DirecTV can kiss my ass.

Fantastic for Cervelo. Every stage that passes I get more and more jealous of those people who get to see this in person. What an incredible lineup!
