Here's a link to ESPN. They're going to get a lot of flack from the fishing community about what they've done on Saturday mornings on ESPN2. They'll need support from us:

Right on the mark. We need to show them and their advertisers that broadcasting the EPL is not just profitable, but absolutely brilliant!

If we don't show massive support and they decide to drop coverage in the future then the only whining we can do is to the guy in the mirror.

I loved it, FSC better get HD fast now that they have other networks showing the games.

EPL + ESPN HD = WIN

Dear God, It was so beautiful. I dreaded changing over to FSC because the EPL looked ssssooooo good in HD. On TV, FSC is like watching a game on a Chinese internet feed compared to ESPN HD.

I checked the schedule this morning, and they still showed fishing and outdoor shows for that time slot. I set my recorder anyway, and I'm looking forward to watching the game in a little bit.

They do have a couple of Monday games coming up in the next month, or so!

The schedule is very heavy on Burnley, Man City and Aston Villa for a while. I'm sure that it balances out over the length of the season.

Chelsea/Hull. They have the 7:45am Saturday kick-off and the Monday night games.

Oh, Alan, Alan, Alan. If you only had checked www.epltalk.com (http://www.epltalk.com) you would have known.

ESPN2 broadcast the Chelsea/Hull City match live at 7:45 Saturday---in full flaming HD.

They have a full slate of matches for the remainder of the season which you can get from the above site or from ESPN.com

epltalk broke this story early, but it was touch and go whether the deal was going to get done before the match. As it turns out, it was--which is why we MUST thank ESPN for getting the job done and putting the EPL on a major U.S. network.

This is our chance to show the wheeler-dealers that the EPL is a great market for them to be in. I think our response is critical to future broadcasting of the EPL in the States. If they keep thinking that the EPL is some kind of minor niche market then this deal will die.

So, thank ESPN and tune in next week.:)

BRILLIANT!!! Here on the left coast, that's 4:45. I am usually awake by then and it allows me to watch a game without being "reminded" (pronounced nagged) about how much has to be done around the house. I've missed that since FSC gave it up to Setanta.

Not sure if this week's game is going to be in HD, but the commercial still got me excited. Love this chant!!
