One of the Latin television shows had a blurb on Marco Etcheverry over this past weekend... he's back from Bolivia, in the states, and stopped at D.C. United offices (friday?)... anybody know anything more about this? If so, can you post it... all I saw was the short report in Spanish!

That's great!! Can we get rid of Stewart now and resign Marco? ;)

(Yeah I know the answer lighten up!! Suggesting that would be like going into a bee hive and trying to steal the honey or going out to Fairfax County and looking for trees w/chicadas around :D )

Welcome back Marco you'll ALWAYS be a DC United hero to me.

He was back in town because he was putting on a show with Bolivian models in Virginia. The Bolivian league is on break due to the upcoming WC qualifiers, but he's had a lot of problems playing with Bolivar so far.

I havn't really followed him except for he went to Bolivia to play there. Why is he having trouble playing for Bolivar?

There is a quote from Marco floating around that once he retires Bruce Arena said he would take him on as an assistant coach.

Il Bruce has said the same thing directly as well.

BTW, if Marco is 33, I'm Freddy Adu. I'm only a year younger than him (supposedly) and he looks like his 5 years older than me.

Bolivar: There were some internal problems, and Marco decided to side with some of his teammates. He also has not been playing very well in any of the games he has been in the lineup.

I would love for Etcheverry to learn from Arena, to eventually return home and lead the revolution within the Bolivian Football Federation. Obviously Arena's doing something right and everyone in the FBF is doing a lot wrong.

Marco is back. He stopped by work friday to pick his car up. I wouldn't say he played badly for the scum (Bolivar) because he hardly played at all.He had some real quality minites against Boca Juniors in La Paz. It just sucked to see him in the gawdaful jersey. He does look real fit and anxious. He mentioned talking to Bruce Arena. I was trying for a surprise guest appearance at Visions saturday but he had a previous commitment. Good to see him back.
