Well, it looks like about 80% of Copa America will be on Telefutura, something unavailable to most of the northern part of the country.

Any ideas on how to get Cox Cable to pick it up? Aren't there enough Spanish speakers almost everywhere in the US to just add this station on?

Don't know if you must get DirecTV Para Todos or DISH Latino to get Telefutura, or if the basic packages would do. Telefutura is on basic cable where I live.

I've got Univision on basic cable, and Galavision with the special "Latino" package. But no Telefutura whatsoever.

Telefutura is available in Dish's Latino and higher spanish packages and their America's Top 120 and higher english packages.

I saw that. I have univision and galavision. What's the problem with telefutura, all the big matches but no one has it. America vs. Chivas was shown live on it yesterday i believe.

If you happen to have an MPG2/DVB system (Ku band, the 75cm dish), you can get a whole bunch of network channels on Galaxy 10. The list includes Univsion, Telefutura, Fox, Pax, UPN, WB, ABC.

These are mostly network affliates in the Central and Mountain timezone. The Telefutura is the one from Price, Utah.

Better yet, this bird also carries TARBS TV, an Australian service provider of ethnic channels that was supposed to launch in the U.S. in April 2003. Of course, most of these launch plans get aborted. Nonetheless, the TARBS bouquet carries two channels on interest, MKTV (Macedonian) and RTS Sat (Serbian). These two channels occasionally carry the Macedonian and Serbian national teams. During the quals of Euro 04, I saw Serbia x Finland on RTS. There were also some Macedonia games, but I don't remember which one.

Great! I just switched my cable provider from Time Warners to Grande Communications. With the digital package, I now have Fox Sports World, Fox Sports en Espanol (sp), ESPN Deportes, and Telefutura. It is also cheaper than Time Warners. I hope Grande can spread to other parts of the state (Texas) and country.
