The following 18 players have been called up by Frank Yallop for his first "A" team friendly as Canadian manager, against Wales in Wrexham on May 30th.

Keepers:
Pat Onstad (San Jose)
Lars Hirshfeld (between clubs)

Defenders:
Jason De Vos (Wigan)
Ante Jazic (Rapid Vienna)
Kevin McKenna (Hearts)
Chris Pozniak (Haugesund)
Mark Watson (Charleston, A-league)

Midfield:
Daniel Imhof (St. Gallen)
Julian De Guzman (Hannover 96)
Mike Klukowski (La Louviere)
Marc Bircham (Queen's Park Rangers)
Jim Brennan (Norwich)
Atiba Hutchinson (Helsingborg)

Strikers:
Tomasz Radzinski (Everton)
Paul Peschisolido (Derby County)
Iain Hume (Tranmere)
Dwayne De Rosario (San Jose)
Olivier Occean (Odd Grenland)

Paul Stalteri is playing for Werder Bremen the day before the Wales match and is unavailable for that reason. A few other Canucks are injured (Jason Bent & Marco Reda) while Patrice Bernier wasn't released by Moss of the Norweigian 2nd tier. Notably absent without explanation are Benfica's Fernando Aguiar and Jahn Regensburg's Tam Nsaliwa.

Mark Watson?

Seriously, do we still need this guy on the national team. Sure he might be a good bench role player, but I certainly hope he doesn't start on May 30th.

Defenders:
Kevin McKenna (Hearts)

Does McKenna still play as a striker for Canada?

He did as recently as last summer but I don't think he will for this match. With another 5 strikers being called for the match and not all that many defenders, Big Kev is likely going to be at the back.

Fernando Aguiar (Benfica) has been left off the squad against Wales. Apparently Frank Yallop called Aguiar to explain that he would get a shot at a later time.

However, it now appears that Aguiar might not want to play for Canada any more. He is posting on the Voyageurs board.....

On that board some guy said:

This thread doesn't even hold a candle to the time Landon Donovan posted all night on socceramerica.com or when his dad called out Bruce Arena on big soccer.

I'm assuming he's talking about this big soccer board... Is that thread still around, I'd like to read it.

Where's Stathis Kapos? Did he not make enough of an impression in the Bermuda game to get a recall?

I am sure he is still on the radar, but he might not have impressed at Florida camp/Bermuda game. Wasn't he injured during the camp or didn't he arrive late?

'That guy' was talking about this board. Actually thinking about it some more, I think it was during the 2000 Olympics and was directed at Clive Charles, not Arena. It was sort of an open letter about the lack of playing time for 'the little blonde kid on the end of the bench' or something like that. I don't remember the specifics, except that it struck me a little worse than what FA was offering up last night.

I don't remember the specifics, but LD on SAG was really quite funny. It was just after the U17s (in NZ right?) and Donovan reacted critically to the criticisms on the board, there was some verbal sparring (most people refused to believe it was even Donovan in the first place) and then it turned into a love fest with everyone believing it was him and telling him how great he was. That was a fun read.
