I will believe it when the first shovel hits the ground.

I am also hopeful. I just watched an interview with Pinball Clemens (Toronto CFL) and it sounded like to him it was a done deal.
We will have to keep our fingers crossed!

I actually was in GTA this past weekend, my cousin from Brampton got married. Took him out to the reputable club Cannonball, if you know it, wink wink. Look for Erica the Armenian, you won't regret it.
Picked up The Sun, love the Page 101 girls BTW, read some of the articles RE: Varsity Stadium. 25k, Argos will use it and it hinges on using the stadium for the 2007 U20s. I think it's a great idea.
So that'll give you guys 3 stadiums to use (well the ones that I'm aware of) for internationals. You guys have Vanguard (the one near Vancouver, love your weather channel ads for Vancouver BTW), the Edmonton site, and Varsity.
Bon chance

Eastern Canada needs a proper stadium (with grass... I hope) and it looks like Toronto finally might get the stadium we need.
I am also happy that the Argos will get a chance to move out of the Skydome.

Toronto gives tentative nod to football stadium
Toronto is moving ahead with plans for an $80 million stadium (http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/news_story.asp?id=84704) for the CFL's Argonauts, almost half of which would be paid for with public funds, on one condition: the Canadian Soccer Association must first win its bid to host the 2007 world under-20 championships, which would be held at the new facility. If soccer's governing body, FIFA, approves the bid as expected this October, the federal and provincial governments would front $35 million for the new 20,000-seat stadium on the University of Toronto campus; the school would finance an additional $30 million itself (to be repaid by the Argos in rent) and raise the remaining $15 million from private donors. The Argos would operate and manage the facility; it's unclear what assurances have been made for community and student access to the stadium.

Since it was announced before the election call, one has to wonder if the Feds will even keep their promise.
Probley not.
