2004 could be a big year for US rugby. A look at some of the fixtures:
7-3-04- France. Hartford
November- Ireland. Dublin
November- Italy. Rome.

Although only 3 games, I am still excited. I was at the last Eagles match in Chicago aganist Canada for WCQ. Hopefully Chicago can get another game.
I would like so see an Eagles-Scotland match. I honeslty think we have a shot aganist them.

Wow, I would love to watch a match of the Eagles elite take on another country's elite. I'm very new to Rugby, I've developed an appreciation ever since catching a few games of World Cup 2003. I hear it's played in huge numbers in New England. I wonder to what extent it's covered, promoted, and played in up states? Could you fill me in COF even though you're in midwest?

California (particularly San Francisco) is really the home of the game.

The Rent.

Pretty shocking promotion if you haven't heard of it though. USA Rugby is really awful at this - no ads whatsoever in SF for games, and then they blame US (San Francisco rugby players and my club, who hosts the game) for bad attendance.

I like Hartford (parents are from NE, and CT in particular), but there's not much else going on, and during a July 4 weekend, it's totally logical.

That game will be during Riverfest then, a big festival in downtown Hartford. There aren't many sports events in Hartford, so each one is treated as being of greater importance than most similar sized cities. I just never heard of this game, and I'm usually one of the first to know. But I went on The Rent's website, and there it is. So now I'll get some people together, and have an excuse to drink in the afternoon.
