UEFA has released the Euro 2004 Action Pass subscription. The link on the webpage doesn't seem to work yet but keep checking it out. Total cost is only €14.95 which is good through August 31st.

Here's the link: http://www.euro2004.com/video/landingpage.html

Enjoy!

One correction to the above. I just subscribed for $14.95, not €14.95 which is a very good price for those in the U.S.

To bad the games aren't shown live...
I rather just sit back and watch the korean web feed.

Just go to the korean board where it says tv live webcasts.

There's a good chance that MBC will televise the matches

I don't completely understand the process to get the action pass.

I don't have internet at home. So it that where I should start?

1-Get internet,
2-then get realplayer (if not freely download-able from the uefa page),
3-then buy the action pass online? (is there no telephone customer service in the US to order the action pass?)

Please elaborate the process. I currently have nothing. Just a computer.

Has not got the answer yet, so bump for it again.
On the Euro 2004 website said:

All the games, all the goals

Match highlights shortly after final whistle

Latest news and exclusive interviews

Behind the scenes features

Live commentary of every match

Archive of past EURO tournaments

From here I believe the game should be lived from both audio and video. But if pressed the price icon, you will get this
"Thank you for choosing euro2004.com action, which lets you enjoy video highlights, news, features and exclusive interviews from UEFA EURO 2004™. You will also get access to live audio commentaries from all 31 matches of the final tournament, as well as many other great audio features and interviews."
Which makes me believe only audio commentaries will be alive. So what's that mean? Is that supposed work as radio?
Anyone has experience with Champion League before? Please help out here!!!!!!!!
Thanks

Only the audio commentaries are live. Video is available after the matches complete. This is the same as the UEFA.com Action subscription.

You will need internet access at home and will need a broadband connection to get the video. Dialup is too slow to handle video.

Once you have that then you need to download realplayer from www.real.com and install it on your computer.

Finally, you will need to go to www.euro2004.com and click on the "Action" link and subscribe to Euro 2004 Action.

The Euro 2004 Action subscription requires an internet connection (broadband if you want to see the video), Realplayer software and then a subscription that you order online.

thanks, kevruth. I guess I will see who the providers are for the broadband in my area (Georgia, USA.) By any chance, any estimates for the cost of broadband + real player+ action pass($14.95)?

The great thing for me about getting the games on my TV versus on my computer is that I can tape the games and watch them whenever I want.

In the case of the action pass, do you always need to access the uefa pass to watch the games? I imagine you can't save the games as files on your computer and watch them on your real player even after your uefa action pass has expired?

Maybe I can find hardware that enables me to watch the games from the website on my TV? I don't know. I am just thinking out loud about being able to record the games somewhere to watch them, say, a year from now.

Prices vary a lot. I just switched cable providers and was able to a price of $29.95 per month for the first year. I believe most cable and DSL providers offer similar pricing for a one-year commitment.

My advice is to get the cable as they may be able to hook you up within a few days. Most DSL can take two or more weeks for them to get you going and if there are problems it can take even longer.

Something else is that after Euro 2004 is over you could subscribe to the UEFA.com Action for $40 a year and get all of the Champions League matches in the same way. And, as noted here in other threads, you can also watch some matches on the internet that are streamed by other places in Korea and China.

Enjoy!

The thing i worry about most is network congestion or lag. I cant get the PPV package so this may be my only way to watch it. I have Champions League pass, and i watch it about 7 hours after the live match is over and it still lags so I'm reduced to watching it on the weekend 4 days after its been played to get good connection. Considering Euro 2004 is daily, you wont even have an off-day to watch the feed...there are new matches everyday. And also they display the score of the matches once you sign in, so if you dont want to know the score you have to develop some sort of way to cover them up and still click to the appropriate links. Those are the two factors i can think of that you should consider before you order. But i have to say $15 is pretty cheap...

kevruth. you said video is available after the match. does that mean only video highlights? or will i actually be able to watch the entire match? How does it work for champions league?

There will be match highlights after the match. UEFA has made it unclear if we will get full video match reruns. I have the UEFA Action subscription. With that you got full match video reruns of every match within a few hours after their completion.

The day that Euro 2004 Action launched UEFA Action had a special two and half minute advertisement for Euro 2004 Action. The announcer says "full match reruns" while a text message appeared that said "audio reruns". I don't know what this means exactly. UEFA Action never offered audio reruns, only video so if you missed the live audio commentary you couldn't listen to it later. I'm hoping to get this all clarified. I've not been able to find an email address for UEFA that I can ask this question to. I'm still trying.
