View Full Version : Why does Sven always choose Butt?!

Why the hell does Sven allways choose this big pile of crap! He's had 12 starts for United this year, and they even agreed to let him go to Middleborough! If he plays in the Euro's he is going to be a liabilty, and god help our defence with that gimp playing in front of them. The worst thing is that he will be the reason Lampard, Hargreaves or Dyer are left out, even though they are better. Butt's inclusion in the squad proves again how much we need a left sided midfielder, and a flat four in midfield. And if Sven feels he needs a holding player why not play Gerrard there and have Lampard on the left?? France will destroy Butt, why cant Sven use a different tactic for once at least! Its not a wise moving going to Portugal and playing France with a defensive out look from the start...if we do you can guarantee France will enjoy it!! **********, I'd even prefer P.Neville to Butt.

Butt is under-rated...
He replaced the injured gerrard in WC 2002 and did pretty well .
He played against the argies and was a major reason why we shut them out.

Butt is under-rated...
He replaced the injured gerrard in WC 2002 and did pretty well .
He played against the argies and was a major reason why we shut them out.
I agree he had a good world cup, but he went into it on form and with a season of match fitness behind him. Players should be chosen on their form, and Lampard is probably Englands most on form player at the moment. If someone cant get into their club sides they shouldnt be in the national team in my opinion. this year has been awfull for butt, and the Championship will only make it worse. Would you choose Butt ahead of Lampard??

lampard has never really had a single decent game for england..
I dunno if he is defensive enough to be compared with butt.

No I mean if Butt is selected it will mean Gerrard playing on the left, and Butt in the holding role, which would mean Lampard being left out. Gerrard should have the holding role...because he's better than Butt, and Lampard should be on the left, because he's a more attacking option than Gerrard...Butt should be in Indo China, because he's crap.

I'm sorry, but no matter how hard Svenn tries, aslong as he is England coach, he has nothing to choose from but English players, and as we all know that English people cannot play sport, let alone football.

Ok im guessing your either Spanish or American...in which case, the last England-Spain match ended 3-0 England. If your American, why do all your players play in Europe, mainly England? And what was the last major footballing tournament the US won?? Stop sucking your dads d1ck mother**********er.

Well, I so thought after Korea too, but since then its been pretty much down hill. I hope your right though because no doubt Sven will be playing him! I think without him in the team we look much stronger, and more ambitious. I think the only reason Butt is selected is because Sven is too scared to change things around a bit, other than in the friendlies he insists on destoring.

Id put bridge and ashley cole on the left side and that would leave open gerrard for the central role .Butt would then be a backup choice.

If I was Sven I would change national teams, because I would know that no matter how hard I tried, England would never ever be champions.

Great point, if England beat Spain the last time they played then England obviously are the superior team........

They are good words words my teenage friend.The best midfield for England must be Scholes, Lampard, Beckham and Gerrard. We can beat France.
