Has anyone been watching this, or just me? I've really liked Janine (sp) since the beginning. She did well with the cheerlearder thing tonight, and has just ben all around great. Energetic, graceful work, and an all around chipper personality. Mary Murphy seems to have warmed up to her quite a bit, almost like Katee Shean last season. It's cute in a way, but this show is starting to seem pretty biased.
Fun to watch every week, though.

I enjoy it very much although I only got into it at the tail-end of last season.
This season has been pretty good, I guess. My favorite was Janette. I think Evan doesn't deserve to be there at all and you know the judges comments last night were trying to find a subtle way of basically telling him that.
Brandon though is a beast. Every performance except maybe one, he was amazing. Every move is crisp and sharp and precise. He should win. If Evan wins, the show loses all credibility and the people who vote are idiots.

If Brandon doesn't win it won't be from lack of trying in my house. My wife spent 15 minutes repeatedly voting for him last night

Haha! That's awesome.
I was almost tempted to vote, something I've never done or told myself I'd ever do. But if he doesn't win, seriously, it'll be criminal.
Also, remember from the auditions, there was that Asian kid who was amazing? They were going to put him in the top 20 but found out that he had a contract with some ballet company and they didn't want to let him out of it. I hope he returns next season. Kid was incredible.

This is a definite "guilty pleasure" of mine.
Anyway, Season Six top 20 were announced today. Glad Mollee made it - she's so adorable (and built like a brick shithouse), but Nigel is right; she's going to need to mature to last. I'm kinda pissed Paula van Oppen had that movie contract (it's a film with Christina Aguilera and Cher called "Burlesque", coming out in about a year) - I really liked her.

She was on my short list of favorites to win this season. Tremendous talent and a tough loss for SYTCD.

I think I'm going to like Mollee. Guess I just have a thing for the "cute". Katee Shean and her workout PJs (with feet). Jeannine (sp) was a charmer as well. Just plain fun to be around, it seemed.
Mollee did seem a wee bit ditzy. Not annoyingly at all, but like someone said, she'll need to focus. Love her personality, though.

I saw the show last night, the first time I've watched this season. Dug the hip-hop crew. The judges were a bit over the top in their praise for the contestants, I thought. I mean, they're good, but not killer good.
Also dug the married ballroom couple.

I had a family member who was a contestant on Season 4 and basically you'll find that there is a narrative that the producers want to push and ultimately they have final say over what happens on the show. With that being said, the show is fantastic and really entertaining. It's great that people are getting exposure to the arts, whether or not they are aware of it. Dance, especially for girls, gives them self confidence, discipline, and a real sense of grace.

Lots of craziness with Billy's illness and Nicole's injury. I think they sent the right two people home, tho.
Yes, the producers obviously "manage" things to tell the story they want to tell. But the show is entertaining, and I enjoy watching the dancers stretch their wings in other disciplines.
